1 Echo360 Voluntary Product Accessibility Template Version 1.0 April 1, 2015 Contact for more Information: Jason Aubrey, Introduction Echo360 is committed to ensuring that our platform contains no barriers for users with disabilities and is both usable and accessible. With valuable input from our customers, audit reports from DeQeue, a third party web accessibility firm, and a strong set of development and testing tools, we are able to continually advance our clients accessibility requirements. Echo360 benchmarks accessibility using two sets of standards: WCAG 2.0 issued by the World Wide Web Consortium and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act issued in the United State federal government. Echo360 - Student Classroom Page with Video Captures How the Section 508 Evaluation / VPAT document is organized: The Section 508 Evaluation Template consists of a long series of tables. The initial one, the Summary Table, is used to provide a sense of your product s overall level-of-compliance with the Section 508 Standards. Subsequently, the Section 1194.xx Tables contain the detailed subparagraphs that a Section 508 Standard is composed of. It is within these Sections 1194.xx Tables that you will define in detail how your product did or did not comply with a specific requirement. Page 1! of 7!

Criteria (a) A text equivalent for every non-text element shall be provided (e.g., via "alt", "longdesc", or in element content). Supporting Features through equivalent facilitation Remarks and explanations All images that convey meaning have an appropriate ALT attributes with the exception of presentation slides viewed within the product that are uploaded by instructors. 3 (b) Equivalent alternatives for any multimedia presentation shall be synchronized with the presentation. (c) Web pages shall be designed so that all information conveyed with color is also available without color, for example from context or markup. (d) Documents shall be organized so they are readable without requiring an associated style sheet. (e) Redundant text links shall be provided for each active region of a server-side image map. (f) Client-side image maps shall be provided instead of server-side image maps except where the regions cannot be defined with an available geometric shape. (g) Row and column headers shall be identified for data tables. (h) Markup shall be used to associate data cells and header cells for data tables that have two or more logical levels of row or column headers. (i) Frames shall be titled with text that facilitates frame identification and navigation (j) Pages shall be designed to avoid causing the screen to flicker with a frequency greater than 2 Hz and lower than 55 Hz. (k) A text-only page, with equivalent information or functionality, shall be provided to make a web site comply with the provisions of this part, when compliance cannot be accomplished in any other way. The content of the text-only page shall be updated whenever the primary page changes. with exception Not applicable Closed captioning for scheduled captures and replay are supported. Color is not used to convey meaning. HTML is in the correct reading and tab order when CSS is disabled. No server-side image maps are used No client-side image maps are used. Row and column headers are only used within the student response component of Echo360, specifically, activity results for re ordered list questions are displayed as a table. No complex tables are used No frames exist No page contains any object that will cause a flicker. The web site complies and does not need an equivalent text-only page. Page 3! of 7!

4 (l) When pages utilize scripting languages to display content, or to create interface elements, the information provided by the script shall be identified with functional text that can be read by Assistive Technology. (m) When a web page requires that an applet, plug-in or other application be present on the client system to interpret page content, the page must provide a link to a plug-in or applet that complies with Û (a) through (l). (n) When electronic forms are designed to be completed on-line, the form shall allow people using Assistive Technology to access the information, field elements, and functionality required for completion and submission of the form, including all directions and cues. (o) A method shall be provided that permits users to skip repetitive navigation links. (p) When a timed response is required, the user shall be alerted and given sufficient time to indicate more time is required. with exception with exception Elements are properly named to be read by the screen reader.
