4 Our Beginnings: Wellspring Community began in January 2008 with four young women with developmental disabilities learning how to bake cookies in a private kitchen. Through careful observation and task analysis modifications were made with equipment and processes to enable these women to be successful. Soon their cookies were selling at local churches and Wellspring's first business enterprise, Best Buddies Bakery was underway Why We Exist: Unless you have a friend or family member with developmental disabilities, you might not be aware of the challenge parents face when planning for the future for their child with special needs. As one parent poignantly put it, "I just have to live one day longer than my daughter." With few exceptions, individuals with Downs Syndrome, Autism and other developmental disabilities will not go on to college. They won t have careers or move into their own apartments. Many will struggle to find work. Most will never drive a car. For the rest of their lives they will need support and supervision. Some will require 24-hour medical care.

5 Our Mission: Our Mission is to create a work and residential community in the Colorado Front Range where adults with special needs can live full, productive and satisfying lives in a God-centered and nurturing environment. Our Vision: To create specially modified and supported business enterprises where our participants can enjoy meaningful work in a place where they can be successful; To provide ongoing educational and enrichment activities to foster intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual growth; and To provide a variety of long-term, supervised residential options.

7 Kid's Cure for Cancer Saturday, July 25, 2015 General's Park Join more then 1,000 participants for the 27th annual Kid's Cure for Cancer. This family friendly event is the signature event of Brent's Place and includes a fun walk through the gorgeous Anschutz Medical Campus complete with obstacles, DJ zone, water zone, and ball house! Finish the walk at the perfectly sized General's Park with a live band, pancake breakfast, and kid's village of activities. Come for the Brent's Place families and stay for the fun!

10 Lynn Finch Lynn Finch is the Energy Practice Leader and an Account Executive for the Mountain States Series of Lockton Companies. Lynn works closely with the account service teams developing insurance programs and products that respond to the client s business operations, exposures and loss experience. She provides strategic account servicing objectives and develops a plan of action for providing efficient, high-quality service to clients. Lynn joined the Lockton firm in 2014 with 30 years of experience in the insurance brokerage industry. Over the past 20 years Lynn has gained extensive knowledge working with upstream and midstream oil and gas clients, public and private utilities and renewable energy clients. Lynn also has extensive knowledge in the public entity sector and has over 20 years of claims management experience in property and casualty, environmental liability, directors and officers, and employment practice liability. Lynn holds an MBA in Human Resource Management from the University of Dallas, Texas and a Bachelor s degree from Adams State University. She holds the designation of Certified Insurance Counselor.

11 Carl Pernicone Carl is a partner in WILSON, ELSER, MOSKOWITZ, EDELMAN & DICKER LLP s Metro New York offices. A co- chair of the firm s Insurance and Reinsurance Practice Team, his practice concentrates in the field of insurance and reinsurance coverage issues involving complex claims and high exposure injuries. Much of Carl s work concerns coverage disputes arising from so-called long-tail injury claims, such as those involving asbestos, lead, silica, workplace chemical exposure and environmental liability. More recently, Carl has applied his experience assisting insurance companies with long-term pollution cases from the 1980s and 1990s to address coverage implications for his clients in emerging areas such as climate change, and hydraulic fracturing for shale-based oil and gas. A 1983 graduate of the Fordham University School of Law, he is a member in good standing of the New York State Bar; the United States District Courts for the Southern, Eastern, Northern and Western Districts of New York; the Second United States Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. Selected for inclusion in New York Super Lawyers , Carl is a member of the New York State Bar Association; the Association of the Bar of the City of New York; Defense Research Institute; the American Bar Association and its Insurance Coverage Litigation Group.

12 Robert Weyand Robert is the Managing Director for AIG s Denver territory, where he oversees all sales, service, and marketing operations. AIG s Denver territory includes Colorado, Utah and Wyoming, with total territory premium in 2014 approaching $300 million. Robert has over 30 years of inter-related experience in the fields of energy, environmental, risk management and insurance. His experience includes upstream oil and gas operations; gas and electric distribution; environmental consulting; financial analysis; and insurance and enterprise risk management. Robert has been with AIG since He remains active with the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation and is the former chair for Denver s steering committee, and serves on the advisory committee for the University of Colorado, Denver s Risk and Insurance Management Program. Robert holds an MBA in finance from Kennesaw State University, and Bachelor s degrees in Forest Management from Utah State University and in Earth Science from the University of Texas, Permian Basin. He is a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter, holds the Associate Risk Manager and Financial Risk Manager certifications, and is a Registered Professional Geologist.
