2 Welltel - Session Border Controller SBC 120 enhanced performance, increased security Welltel s Session Border Controllers (SBCs) help enterprises to reduce communications costs, enable Unified Communications (UC) and protect their networks against Internet Protocol (IP)- based attacks. - sbc 120 model The Welltel Session Border Controller is an advanced SBC built for smaller enterprise networks, delivering robust security and proven interoperability. The Welltel SBC also supports built-in survivability against broadband failure, so calls go through even if the wide area network (WAN) goes down, using local backup ISDN facilities, connected to the SBC through one of Welltel s Media Gateways, or alternatively the SBC can be connected to a second Broadband facility, in case the primary broadband facility is out of service.
