3 Integrated Quality of Service IP Router- Protocols Integrated QoS IP Router Diffserv queuing IPX support via LAN segment Static Routing: Individual Routing Table entries programmed for each route Used for router deployment in star-topology and limited meshnetworks. IP WAN Network RIP v1&v2 (Routing Information Protocol): Routing Table entries are dynamically updated in each router using a distance vector algorithm. Used for router deployment in star-topology networks and larger mesh-networks. Used for routed networks with less than 16 hops Edge-to- Edge IP WAN Network OSPF (Open Shortest Path First): Routing Table entries are dynamically updated in each router using a link state algorithm. 5 Wide Area Network (WAN) Connection The Enterprise Edge Communications Manager has an integrated Quality of Service router that can be configured with a Wide Area Network Interface Card (NIC), eliminating the need for external routing hardware. 5 CM 2.0 Data Capabilities
