1 LABORATORY INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM RFP # ADDENDUM NUMBER ONE ADMINISTRATIVE CLARIFICATIONS PROPOSAL DUE DATE Submittals must be sent to George DiCiero City and County Building, Community Assistance Center, One DesCombes Drive, Broomfield, CO on or before June 9, :00 a.m. (our clock). Submittals must be received and recorded by the Community Assistance Center. Submittals received after this time will not be considered and individual extensions to the due date will not be granted REQUIRED: Nine (9) identical hard copies and an original IMPORTANT: Follow the FORMAT OF PROPOSAL found on page 5 of the Solicitation Document PLEASE ATTACH THE STATEMENT OF QUALIFCATIONS TO THE PROPOSALS (included in the Addendum #1) VENDORS QUESTIONS SUBMITTED DURING THE PRE-PROPOSAL MEETING 1) Regarding the field devices? The City is researching new devices to be purchased this year. 2) When in the field is there internet access? Probably not. 3) 10 Copies? - The hard copy must match the electronic copy. 4) Acord of Insurance include a sample or statement the City will be named as additional insurer. 5) Scanners and devices The City would like the vendor to buy the 4 scanners and printers. 6) On Page 9 The vendor must provide a demo version that can be evaluated from a laboratory computer. The City would like a test environment or a virtual. The City is open to installing on our equipment or whatever the vendor requires. 7) Page 10 For the Environmental lab, the LIMS will need to integrate with portable field collection devices that utilize Windows Mobile Technology, allowing field collectors to collect field data and upload that data from any location that provides Internet access. The City is open to whatever device the vendor wants to submit. The city now is using Service Pro Tablets. 8) 10 years of data that needs to be transferred over what format is it in now? MS Access 9) Regarding the instruments to interface are they on the network now? The two from Wastewater are not and the 4 from Environmental Lab are on the network. 10) Page 12. The LIMS should provide for different log-ins for each user. The system must be capable of handling multiple-users with different levels of authorization and work from either lab. One LIMS for both departments with a shared database, but flexible permissions for the end users. 11) Page 33 Ability to accept electronic data deliverables (EDD) from contract laboratories Contract Labs. How many labs does the City receive data from? Wastewater received PDF from two labs, but will like to receive the workable data. Environmental lab receives data from 3 labs.
