1 Quick Steps One Page Tip Sheet Purpose: It is no longer necessary to log a Support ticket to request an exam. You can now register yourself for an exam directly by creating a profile and purchasing an exam with your credit card. Please review these steps carefully. Whether you are an experienced exam participant, or this is your first certification or authorization, please review all of the following steps to ensure your process goes smoothly. Your success is very important to us. Best of luck! Step 1 of 15 Study for the exam Partner Portal > Education Tab > Technical Training Links to study guides & sample questions are listed here Step 2 of 15 Things you need to get started When you are ready to take the exam, you MUST: Use Internet Explorer 6.0 or above (not Firefox) Have all popup blockers disabled (including Toolbars) Use a major credit card (Visa, MasterCard) to purchase the exam Have your Partner Contact Role Number available (this is a required field to set up your profile) Don t Have Your Contact Role Number? Follow these steps: 1. Log into the Partner Portal 2. Select My Company Profile 3. Scroll down to the Partnerships related list, select the Partnership Number 4. Scroll down, your Contact Role Number will be listed right beside your Last Name Step 3 Log into Webassessor Go to Step 4 Do you have a login/password? New user? Create a new Webassessor login now. Step 5 Create a Test Taker Account Use your business address to sign up. Step 6 Sign up as an SFDC Partner This ensure your results are recorded properly. Step 7 What happens after I create my new profile? You will get a confirmation . Step 8 Login and Register for an exam Select Register for a new exam to see the list of exams. Step 9 Select the exam to purchase - For Certification exams, you must select the time, date, and location to take the exam. - Product Competencies can be purchased and taken immediately. Step 10 Checkout Page Review and confirm the details of your purchase. Apply an vouchers or coupons. Step 11 Final Bill Submit your purchase. Step 12 Purchase Confirmation You will receive an confirmation. Step 13 Launch Exam This will take you to the Terms & Conditions page. Step 14 Accept Terms & Conditions Select I Agree and Next to proceed. The exam timer will start. Step 15 Taking the Exam Tips during the exams. The timer will show the remaining time. Use the checkbox to flag a question for later review. Next will proceed to the next item in the exam. Review All will display all the question numbers, so you can click on a particular question, and will note all flagged questions with an asterisk (*). Submit Exam will end the exam and submit all answered questions. Once you submit the exam you will immediately know whether you passed or failed. Note: Do not click the Submit Exam button until you have completed the entire exam. You will not be able to make changes to your responses once the exam has been submitted. Your success is very important to us. Best of luck! Step 1 of 15 Study for the exam Review the Study Guide for the exam you want to take. Note: all Product Competency exams require Consultant Certification first. The study guides are available at: Partner Portal > Education Tab > Technical Training Step 2 of 15 Things you need to get started When you are ready to take the exam, you MUST: Use Internet Explorer 6.0 or above (not Firefox) Have all popup blockers disabled (including Toolbars) Use a major credit card (Visa, MasterCard) to purchase the exam Have your Partner Contact Role number available (this is a required field to set up your profile) (Step 2) You must have this number to create a Webassessor account (see Steps >>>>) Don t Have Your Contact Role Number? Follow these steps: 1. Log into the Partner Portal (if you do not have access to the Partner Portal or your Partner Contact Role number is not listed, contact your Alliances Representative for assistance) 2. In the sidebar Welcome box, select My Company Profile 3. On the Company Profile record, scroll down to the Partnerships related list, select the Partnership Number (example: AE ) 4. From the Partnership page, scroll down to the Partner Contact Roles related list, your Contact Role Number will be listed right beside your Last Name (Note: you only need the last four digits, not the preceding zeros) Step 3 of 15 Log into Webassessor Go to Step 4 of 15 Do you have a login/password? If you already have a login, proceed to Step 8. If you are new to the system, click Create a new Webassessor login now. This will open a page enabling you to create your own Test Taker Account. (Step 4) Webassessor Login Page Step 5 of 15 Create a Test Taker Account Your Webassessor Login should be your business address (for example, jsmith@consulting.com), and it should be the same you enter for address associated with your Salesforce account. Note: This is NOT your normal Salesforce.com login. This is a login for the Webassessor exam application. You should retain this login in order to take future exams.

3 Step 6 of 15 Sign up as an SFDC Partner When creating your profile, make sure to note that you are an SFDC Partner. This will ensure you are credited properly for your exam result. Complete all the remaining required (*) fields. Click Save when complete, or Cancel to start over. Note: You can use this same login to review results from exams previously taken, and to purchase new exams. Step 7 of 15 What happens after I create my new profile? a. You will also receive this confirmation with your login and password. (Step 6) Select SFDC Partner c. Return to Webassessor login with the new password. tester.john@gmail.com xxxxxx Step 8 of 15 Login and Register for an exam From the Home Page, there are 3 main sections: Scheduled Exams exam purchased but not taken In-Progress Exams exam currently being taken Completed Exams all prior completed exams Select Register for a new exam. Step 9 of 15 Select the exam to purchase From the list of available exams, select Register beside the exam you want to purchase. Review the details on the Shopping Cart page and click Checkout to proceed. Important: SFA, Support, Mobile, Partners/PRM require either a Certified Consultant credential first Step 10 of 15 Checkout Page Confirm the price Enter voucher code (covers the full exam payment) or coupon code (applies a discount %), if applicable Enter Credit Card details Click Apply (Step 9) Select Register to purchase an exam This is only a sample voucher code, it will not work.

4 Full Instructions + Screenshots & FAQ (page 3 of 4) Step 11 of 15 Final Bill Submit purchase After voucher and/or credit card information has been applied, your final bill is presented. The Total will show $0.00, but the details will denote whether your credit card has been billed, or a voucher code has been applied. Select Submit to purchase the exam, or Back to Cart to review the transaction details. After you Submit, an will be sent confirming payment and registration for this exam. Step 12 of 15 Purchase Confirmation a. Once you Submit your exam purchase, you will see this confirmation page. Print this page for your records. b. You will also receive a confirmation with your receipt for the purchased exam. Step 13 of 15 Launch Exam When you return to the exam registration page, you will now see the purchased exam in your list of Scheduled Exams. Select Launch to load the exam. Review exam details and click Launch again to continue. Step 14 of 15 Accept Terms & Conditions Review the terms and conditions, select I agree. Click Next, this will launch the exam and start the timer. Caution: Attempting to copy or distribute the contents of any exam in any form is prohibited, and may result in a loss of your credentials. Note: Selecting Next after the terms and conditions will launch the exam and the timer will start Step 15 of 15 Taking the Exam The timer will show the remaining time. Use the checkbox to flag a question for later review. Next will proceed to the next item in the exam. Review All will display all the question numbers, so you can click on a particular question, and will note all flagged questions with an asterisk (*). Submit Exam will end the exam and submit all answered questions. Once you submit the exam you will immediately know whether you passed or failed. 5 Frequently Asked Questions Exam Self-Registration Full Instructions + Screenshots & FAQ (page 4 of 4) Is there another way to pay for an exam besides using a credit card? Credit card purchases offer an easier, quicker way to access exams than traditional billing methods. A purchase order can be used for bulk purchases greater than $2,000 USD. For more information, send an to certification@salesforce.com. During the exam, can I flag questions and return to them later? Yes, check the box Mark this item for later review below any question you want to review later. Use the Review All button to see all question numbers, your answer to each item, and flagged questions denoted by an asterisk (*). I am having difficulty accessing the Product Competency exam online? What should I do? There are three things you should check immediately. First, are you using Internet Explorer 6.0 or above? The exam environment only works with Internet Explorer (Firefox and Safari may not work). Second, did you disable all popup blockers (even blockers on your Toolbar)? Third, did you close all other applications and restart your computer? Make sure there are no other applications open while you take the exam. If these steps still do not correct the problem, send an to certification@salesforce.com and describe the access problem you are having. Make sure to leave multiple ways to contact you (phone, , etc.) and they will troubleshoot any technical issues. I am trying to get certified, but there are no courses or exam locations offered where I live. Send an to certification@salesforce.com with details concerning your particular situation. What is the difference between a voucher and a coupon, and how do I get one? A voucher code covers the full payment of an exam, a coupon code applies a discount (%) to the purchase of the exam (like a 20% discount). These codes might be given out during special promotions, or as part of a Partner membership agreement. How many times can I take a particular exam? If you fail on the first certification exam attempt, you may request a second exam attempt for $100 USD. After the second attempt, we strongly recommend the supporting course for that exam (the exam fee is then included in the course fee). If you fail a product competency exam the first time you may retake the exam at no additional charge using a voucher code. Send an to Certification@salesforce.com for more information on voucher codes. I think I finished taking the exam and submitted it. How can I be sure? You will receive your results immediately both with a web confirmation page, and an . It is very important that you PRINT your results. This ensures that you have your own copy of the test results for verification. Can I get a list of the questions I missed on an exam, to prepare to take it again? To protect the security and integrity of each exam, we do not make the questions publicly available. However, when you take the exam the first time, you may make notes on questions that are more difficult for you to answer, and use this to prepare for the next attempt in the event you do not pass the first time. Is my certification or product competency still valid if I move to another company? Yes, once you pass a Certification or Competency exam, this credential goes with you, not the company. If you move to another company, send an to certification@salesforce.com to ensure that your records are associated to the correct company. What is the difference between Authorization and Certification? Certification implies a more stringent method of examination processes, and has more legal implications. A certification is a professional, industry-recognized credential for customers, partners, and salesforce.com employees. Renewals of a certification are required. What does the new certification announcement mean for partners who are already authorized? Any Level II or Force.com Competency authorizations are valid until May 9, All current authorized partners must become certified by that date, as your authorization will expire and you will not be in full compliance with the partner program.
