3 WREB Exams at San Joaquin Valley College (SJVC) San Diego Campus Patient Procurement Screening: Candidates must provide their own patient. SJVC will not furnish any patients or make any record available for patient screening prior to the exam. San Joaquin Valley College will not provide clinical space for patient screening during the exam nor perform any screening prior to the exam. The Clinic: SJVC Clinics are equipped with Midmark Chairs and workstations. Two varieties of handpiece hoses are available on each unit: a 4-hole standard high speed handpiece hose and a 4-hole standard slow speed hose (for slow speed). It is our policy for each candidate to use a large diameter (standard size) high volume evacuator (HVE) during the use of any ultrasonic scaler. A saliva ejector hose does not qualify or take the place of an HVE. The candidates can use an HVE adaptor available for purchase for $5.00 any other needs to be approved by the site coordinator prior to use during the exam.
