Our partner E-Wood Moulding (Malaysia) is a MS ISO 9001:2008 certified company and we are committed in providing excellent and consistent quality finished mouldings. From raw material selection to finished goods packing, we have defined stringent requirements in every step and also ensure the products are being produced in compliance to the specifications and protocol defined. Gifted by the excellent weather in Malaysia vital for the growth of good quality timber, we ensure durian timber we purchase are legally logged and from orchards and plantations. Treatment to the timber is a must and our timbers are dried in the state of the art kiln dry facility. Quality of incoming raw material is being monitored and assured of meeting the specifications outlined to our suppliers. Only materials that have passed the incoming quality assurance are being released into the store. Supplier Quality Management are considered a vital part of our Quality Management System where we continually working with them to identify opportunities and improve quality of the raw materials. We believe in building the quality into the products at various stages of the manufacturing process rather than inspecting the quality out from the finished good. Therefore, effective in process monitoring procedures are being implemented in our manufacturing processes to cultivate our culture of control and improve product quality at source. Final inspection is also being performed at the end of production process to provide an additional gate to screen out the potential escapee from the in-process quality checks. A vital ingredient in our success is a team of well trained and dedicated employees. These employees are trained and certified before being placed in production positions and they will be reassessed on a yearly basis. 3 environmentally friendly mouldings Wood: Durian Durian is an evergreen tree and can be up to 40m tall. You can mainly find them in South-East Asia. The fruit is egg-shaped, 15 to 30cm large and weighs up to 8kgs. It's the most popular fruit in Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand. The edible flesh emits a distinctive odour, strong and penetrating even when the husk is intact. This gives the fruit the nickname "smelly fruit". The best known description of the fruit is "it smells like Hell, but tastes like Heaven. The durian wood that is used by the manufacturer is harvested from the orchards. After about 30 years, the fruit trees stop carrying fruits and are replaced. Our manufacturer received an official certificate to prove the origin of their wood. Durian wood is softer than ramin, so it's easier to chop, cut and join.but the wood is harder than ayous, giving us the possibility to guarantee top-quality mouldings. The wood is fingerjoint to secure straight mouldings. Paint: waterbased Most of the paints used by the manufacturer are already waterbased and environmentally friendly. The manufacturer is also working along with the suppliers of hotstamp film to find ways to make new films in an environmentally friendly way. Manufacturer: E-Wood Moulding (Malaysia) E-Wood Moulding is one of the most important manufacturers of picture framing mouldings in South-East Asia. In the factory in Malaysia they employ over 400 people. Each month they produce over 1.3 million meters of picture frame mouldings. The main export countries are the USA, Canada and Australia. In September 2008 they started a joint-venture with Cami to setup a European distribution center, named EC Mouldings.

4 environmentally friendly mouldings moulures écologiques Type de bois: Durian Le durian est une sorte d'arbre persistant qui peut atteindre 40 m de hauteur. On le retrouve surtout en Asie du sud-est. Le fruit ressemble a un oeuf et mesure de 15 à 30 cm, c'est la sorte de fruit la plus commune en Indonésie et en Malaysie. Lorsque le fruit est mûr, il dégage une forte odeur pénétrante dûe à la formation de sulfide d'hydrogène, c'est pour cela que ce fruit est également appelé "le fruit puant". En anglais, on décrit le fruit du Durian comme "smells like Hell, but tastes like Heaven". Le bois du durian, qui est utilisé par le fabricant, est récupéré dans les vergers. Après une trentaine d'années, les arbres ne produisent plus de fruits. Ils sont alors arrachés et sont remplacés par de nouveaux plants. Le fabricant possède un certificat officiel confirmant ce procédé. Le bois de Durian est plus tendre que le bois de ramin, ce qui le rend plus facile à couper, scier et assembler. Ce bois est bien plus résistant que le ayous, ce qui permet de garantir une qualité maximale. Les bois sont assemblés par le procédé dit de "fingerjoint", ce qui fait que les baguettes restent toujours droites. Peintures: à base d'eau Presque toutes les peintures utilisées actuellement sont déjà des peintures à base d'eau, alors que chez la plupart des fabricants, ce sont des peintures à base de solvants qui sont utilisées. Notre fabricant s'est engagé à ne plus utiliser qu'exclusivement des peintures à base d'eau. Il en va de même pour les films (hotstamp), pour lesquels des solutions écologiques sont recherchées en collaboration avec le fabricant. Fabrikant: E-Wood Moulding (Malaysie) E-Wood Moulding est l'un des plus important fabricant d'asie du Sud-Est. 400 collaborateurs travaillent dans leur usine en Malaysie. Ils produisent mensuellement plus d'un million de mètres de moulures. Leurs plus importants pays d'exportation sont les USA, le Canada et l' Australie. En septembre 2008, un centre de distribution Européen a été créé en collaboration avec Cami, celui-ci porte le nom de EC Mouldings.
