Hilton HHonors Worldwide, LLC, reserves the right to discontinue HHonors membership for any member who appears to be using the Program in a manner inconsistent with the Program Terms and Conditions. Hilton HHonors Worldwide, LLC, also has the right to discontinue membership for any member who acts in a manner inconsistent with the law. Discontinued membership may result in the loss of all accumulated points and the cancellation of HHonors Certificates, benefits and privileges. 6. The sale or barter of HHonors points, Certificates, Rewards or other benefits is prohibited and any such benefits deemed by Hilton HHonors Worldwide, LLC, to have been transferred, sold or assigned may be confiscated or cancelled. 7. Members who do not earn points in any consecutive 6-month period may be removed from the active membership mailing list. Members who do not earn points in any consecutive 12-month period may be removed from membership in the Program unless a member reactivates under terms and conditions as may be established by Hilton HHonors Worldwide, LLC. Failure to reactivate will result in the closure of the member s account and the forfeiture of all accumulated points. 8. Accrued points and Certificates do not constitute property of the member and are not transferable in the event of death, divorce or otherwise by operation of law. Any tax liability, including disclosure to taxing authorities, connected with the receipt or use of points or Rewards is the responsibility of the member. 11. By using Zip-In Check-In or Expedited Check-In, a member consents to such reservation of credit by the hotel. Accrual of Points 1. HHonors points for qualifying hotel stays can be earned only at participating HHonors hotels which are subject to change at any time without notice. To earn HHonors points for hotel stays, a member must be a registered paying guest at a participating Hilton Family hotel. Points awarded for stays at participating hotels outside the U.S. will be based on local currency (excl. VAT) converted to U.S. dollars at a rate of exchange to be determined by Hilton HHonors. Charges in connection with banquets or other catering functions are not eligible for point accrual. Members cannot accrue more than 100,000 Base points during one stay. 5. Base points are defined as the 10 points per dollar earned for eligible hotel charges, exclusive of any promotional or other type of bonus points offer. Members will earn 10 HHonors Base points for every eligible U.S. dollar (or other currency equivalent) charged to an individual member s hotel bill ( folio ) for qualifying stays at participating Hilton, Conrad, Doubletree, Embassy Suites Hotels, Hilton Garden Inn and Hilton Grand Vacations TM. Members will earn 10 HHonors Base points for every eligible U.S. dollar (or other currency equivalent) spent on room rate only for eligible rate stays at Hampton Inn, Hampton Inn & Suites and Homewood Suites by Hilton hotels. At Scandic hotels, members will earn 1,000 HHonors Base points per night. Double Base points means you will receive bonus points equal to the number of Base points earned during a stay, and Triple Base points means you will earn bonus points equal to two times the number of Base points earned during a stay. Bonus points earned on Base points do not count toward VIP tier qualification (ex. Double Base point or Triple Base point promotions). 6. Any points offered in conjunction with a specific hotel stay will be considered earned only when the stay has been fully paid. 7. Members residing in countries where the employer s permission is necessary to use for a private purpose earnings accrued in the course of employment are responsible for obtaining such consent. HHonors earnings are void where prohibited or restricted by local law. HHonors Partner Bonus Points 1. Partner bonus points are awarded for car rentals with participating car partners. Airline Program Mileage 1. HHonors members may receive frequent flyer mileage credit with participating airline partners for stays at eligible rates. Earning Tier Status 1. Members may earn tier status based upon the number of qualifying stays or nights during any consecutive 12-month period. HHonors Base points earned do count toward Gold or Diamond VIP tier qualification. At Scandic hotels, only qualifying nights and HHonors Base point earnings count toward VIP status. Bonus points earned on Base points do not count toward VIP tier qualification (ex. Double Base point or Triple Base point promotions). 2. Once a member attains a tier level, it will remain in effect through the end of the subsequent calendar year.
