26 End-to-end Utility Bills Audit The difference between ienergyiq end-to-end bill audit and legacy utility bill auditing services: Legacy utility bill auditing services rely on utility bills as data input. Such limited input data can only be used to verify minor Utility errors (e.g. simple cost calculation errors from input of aggregated utility meter data or manual data entry errors of aggregated meter data). Legacy utility bill auditing services are very labor intensive, but only provide a very small cost savings as a result. These savings are significantly smaller when compared to the energy cost savings provided by ienergyiq comprehensive end-to-end billing process audit services. A full-scale advanced utility bill audit is an end-to-end billing processing audit, which uses real-time interval meter data as input in conjunction with Utility tariffs and performs an independent automatic aggregation and bill calculation. ienergyiq solution provides a full-scale end-to-end automated billing process audit.

27 Demand Side Load Shift Modeling All commercial and industrial facilities have complex tariffs by Electric Utilities and rates can change many times annually. ienergyiq system can use interval meter data from electrical loads and Utility tariffs to run What If Financial Load Modeling and cost optimization system and calculate best load shaping/shifting & energy storage mix to minimize Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). TCO includes monthly cost of electricity, optional energy storage cost and operational cost. It can be integrated with any energy storage to enable an ultimate energy cost reduction for commercial and industrial customers. This sub-system enables a solution for best possible total cost reduction (electricity cost + energy storage cost + operational cost).

28 Managing Energy Storage ienergyiq can calculate exactly when to charge Energy Storage and when to discharge it and for how long and with what power to minimize TCO based on the current Tariff, Load and cost of energy storage. The Load Modeling will recalculate load / energy storage mix based on rates increases for every rate increase. This modeling can also be used to justify mathematically for customers a best ROI for any Energy Efficiency project or Energy Storage. Once ienergyiq Load Modeling system specified an optimal load shape/shift mix, then an administrator can define in ienergyiq Energy Policy Controls to monitor in real-time compliance with selected policy and Loads Shape/Shifts.
