1 Sample 1 Studying for an MBA requires a certain determination and strength of character. In recent years, the business world has become rapidly integrated across once restricting borders, and anyone with high goals in the business world must have an international perspective and be aware of the realities of different international arenas. I am unique, and uniquely fortunate, to have a diverse background both academically and professionally which has exposed me to different continents, peoples, cultures, and languages. As a native of Asia, I am familiar with the increasingly important markets of this region, and as such I am thoroughly prepared for the demands and challenges presented by undertaking study in the MBA program at your institution. From a young age, I set goals beyond those of my peers. I decided to pursue a Bachelor s degree in International Hotel Management, but in recognition of the limitation of programs in this field in my native country, I decided to pursue my undergraduate degree in Europe. The international hotel management course I joined was run by Goodwell University in the UK, and due to the experience of the instructors and the overall sophistication of the program, I received an incredibly valuable learning experience, beyond that which I could have received elsewhere. My undergraduate coursework at Goodwell University focused on management marketing, accounting, and various aspects of tourism. I received broad business-based education while immersing myself in European culture and language on a daily basis. As a result, I am confident in my ability to adapt to your environment and join your MBA program. After graduation from Goodwell University, I returned to my native country, but the limitations of the rapidly growing domestic hotel industry quickly became apparent to me. I therefore sought employment in a different field in which I could better utilize my skills. I began working in the Marketing Department of Makebest Textile Company, where I learned how to control costs, devise marketing strategies, and develop lasting relationships with customers. I am currently working as the Assistant Sales Manager in this company, responsible for the development of overseas customers and analyses of sales goals. After more than three years in this company, I am confident working in a fast-paced international business environment. However, during these years I have encountered numerous obstacles and unforeseen challenges. Therefore, after careful consideration, I decided that further study in an MBA program would be not only useful, but perhaps essential in developing my career potential and providing me with greater opportunities for future success. My career path has led me from the rapidly developing markets of my native country in Asia to the rolling hills of England and back again. Now, I feel that the next logical destination on my path is your MBA program. The curriculum of your MBA program is similar to that which I studied previously, yet it is much more challenging and will allow me to develop my abilities further. I already have a strong background in various aspects of business, from marketing and management to accounting and sales. Because of this, I feel I am uniquely qualified to attend your MBA program. After completion of my studies, I plan to return to Makebest Textile Company and apply what I learn in your program to the benefit of the company. As a native of India which is part of the high growing South Asian market, I am familiar with the increasingly important markets of this region, and as such I am thoroughly prepared for the demands and challenges presented by undertaking study in the MBA program at your institution. My education till now has given the perfect set up to understand and learn to focus on solutions and not get bogged down by challenges. Everything in this world is dynamic and change is the only constant. Mark Zuckerberg or Larry Page the new generation entrepreneurs and the undisputed czars in their own fields have synched their products exactly the way the world is living now. These people give me inspiration and I try to evolve and make a name for myself in the global business arena. Since my childhood I have idolized Richard Branson, Ratan Tata, Elon Musk, and wanted to be a great dynamic leader like them; and to pursue my dreams I realized that gaining knowledge is the first to move ahead. Therefore, after my high school I pursued BBA to get the basic understanding of the subject of business management operations. Though the BBA has given me the required artillery to face the real business world and start a career, I somehow felt a specialization is required to stand out in the job market. Hence, I joined ICOFP to pursue PGDFP. After successfully completing the diploma I was ready for the corporate world and hence joined Accer financial advisory services ltd. I tried to blend my academic knowledge with my day to day experience of working with Accer. My dedication and hard work was rewarded in just 6 months and from relationship manager I was promoted to Area Manager, managing the whole business in Bengal. The promotion gave me an opportunity to meet with HNI clients and augment my marketing and interpersonal skills. Imparting training and leading a successful team also shaped me up as a successful manager. However, I hit a saturation point and decided to enhance mu knowledge in business management with a wider aspect in international business. The desire leads me to join centennial college in Toronto and I graduated in international business management with flying colors. Being one of the toppers in my class it was not very tough for me to land myself with a job. I started working with Sen Immigration and gained a priceless international exposure. My responsibilities was to market and brand my firm and also counsel immigrants and people from all over the world on immigration and business opportunities in Canada. My previous work experience helped me in marketing and branding Sen Immigration. My ever existing thirst for success helped me here as well. I was promoted to business manager from administrative assistant in just few months. Though I was doing well in my job and career my real dream of becoming a prominent global business leader was far away. While I was introspecting to my abilities, knowledge and experience I realized that to become successful in a MULTINATIONAL setup I require a more professional education. I do have

4 more than 4 years of work experience but all of it has been in medium level enterprises. Leading a team in a multinational institution requires the latest knowledge in management practices, knowledge in the ever changing business dynamics and effective ways of operations. This leads me to apply for MBA in Solbridge. My previous education and experience will help me to understand the subjects like marketing, management, operations and human resource in a more effective and better way. I would be able to relate the problems and solutions in this new business environment with my own experience and knowledge. Further, I would be able to share with the class my knowledge and experience I have gained from my international exposure. As a student I felt I am very good with subjects like finance, logistics and management. I am also good with analytical skills and preparing business strategies. These areas are my forte. However, I lack the expertise in financial accounting and management information system. I would like to hone my talent in these areas given a chance in Solbridge. Korean business management practices is one of the best in the world and the MBA program provides an opportunity to the students to unravel the secrets and implement in their business plans in future. I have never been a task master, which somehow proves to be a negative factor in my growth as business leader. My managerial prowess has been tested with time however; I have not been able to show my leadership skills as of now. I am pragmatic that my stay in Solbridge will mould me as a future leader. I have a dream and it is big. However, every dream has a cost and it never comes to you the way you have wished. For me, the only constraint I have to achieve my dream is finance. I have been able to save money at every juncture to achieve my ultimate goal. In spite of that I have not been able to save enough to carry my further education without impediments like financial constraints. With ever increasing inflation the costs of surviving and specially education have sky rocketed and enough has never been enough for people coming from middle class background like us. My parents are retired and any financial assistance from them will be an extra burden at this age. So getting a scholarship has become an imperative part of my success story. The scholarship will not only help me financially but also give me extra time to work hard to excel in my academics. I do not have to indulge in any part time job to make my ends meet. I can rather invest the time in my studies. I have done very well academically in my last college and would like to work hard to repeat that. No financial burden or tension will bring the best out from me. I strongly believe that an institution is as famous as its students and they both work in a symbiosis. I would like to grab any opportunity coming my way to do something for the school. Solbridge is a new institution which has stride forward and achieved a lot in such a less time. I would like to involve myself in all its promotional activities around the world. From organizing workshops or helping in marketing and branding the business school I would like to take part in everything. With my experience in marketing and branding I can give a lot to Solbridge. This will also help me to grow as a leader which is one of my main motivations behind joining the program. I am an avid traveler and traveled a lot and also on the virtue of my jobs I have strong connections in USA, Canada, Brazil, Thailand and India which I would like to exploit to promote my school. Whether I get the scholarship or not I would like to be part

I want to excel in an Asian MNC after completion of my course. I want to see myself in a managerial position and promoting myself in the senior level position within 3 years of my tenure.
