1 ROI AnalyticsConfiguration Guide This guide outlines installation, configuration and use of the ROI Analytics Software. Step 1 - Setup 1. First step you will need to do on the ROI Server is to head to ROI s website to download the.exe follow this URL this is our support page where our download s and documentation is located.

2 1-1. You will need to click on the ROI Analytics download which is always the 2 nd down under Windows and this will take you to a registration page Once you have filled out all required fields and Submit. The confirmation page will appear and you will see an option that say click to download.

3 1-3. Once download is completed Run the.exe as Administrator then simply follow the installer step by step accepting all defaults. NOTE: IF the installer does not find a SQL 2005 or newer or the necessary.net Framework the installer will install it for you. Step 2 Analytics Console NOTE: In this section we will be covering all of the tools and basic functions of the ROI Analytics Console. 2. Once the install has completed go to START/All Programs/PCS/ROI Analytics/ROI Analytics Console.

4 2.2.When first opening the Analytics Console you will need to accept the terms and conditions to get the console to appear The first option in the panel on the left under Data is Session Wizard. When you first click on Session Wizard the below tool will appear.

6 2.4.Click Next and the below screen will appear. Designate the name of the report under Session Name. To clear down the database check the boxes next to Clear Data, Clear Printer Costs and Clear User/Groups. We suggest doing this every three to four reports so the database does not over whelm the analytics console. 3. NOTE - ROI Analytics now has the ability to import FM Audit data from Central Office directly by connecting to the FMA Central server and pulling data into Analytics. 4. Once the data has been received by Analytics you can use both ROI data and FMA data to generate a single report. The FMA data for the meter reads will replace any data from ROI to make the report more accurate. The printer usage report is where the FMA data will replace ROI data. 5. Incorporating FMA Data with ROI Print Manager Data inside Analytics can now offer the user the choice of creating a single comprehensive report showing both user data and meter reads. 6. The first step is to import the FMA data by running the Analytics tool and selecting the Import Data button. Next you will select the FM Audit Web Service radio button (see below).

7 7. Once you have done that, select the Next Button which will take you to the FM Audit Download screen. 8. Here, you will need to fill in the customer details to enable you to connect to the FMA Central Server to begin the download. 9. Screen Shot below: 10. Once you have entered all the relevant information you will need to select the Next button. At this point, the import process will start by authenticating your credentials. Once authenticated, the software will then begin to download the printer meter information. 11. See example below:

8 12. Next step is to import the ROI data to merge both data sets to produce one report. You will need to use the ROI Analytics User guide for the next part of the process. 13. The Reports are the same as the original ROI Analytics reports but with the FM Audit data incorporated in the Printer section of the reports. ROI Analytics uses a look up and match within its database for printers from the ROI data set and the FM Audit data set. Once it matches the Printer IP address within the database it will only replace the ROI data for that printer if the FM Audit data shows a higher page result Session Wizard will update the Analytics Console which may take a moment or two. Then you can continue by going to Import Data the second option under Data in the panel on the left. Select your file type and click NEXT.

9 13.3. Browse for your file and click NEXT.

10 13.4. Once you have imported your data go to Data Analysis. This tool can be used to veiw the raw data by day, month and year and you can even sellect date ranges.

11 13.5. Your last tool under Data will be Archive Data this is where you can veiw your archived data that you have manulely archived or that you have imported.

12 13.6. Your next option is Users this is where you will take all of the users and cofigure your groups, import your AD Active Directory or import your department codes. NOTE: training on this will be provided when and if neccassary.

13 13.7. Under Printers your first tool is Auto Setup. You can select each option independently and have it run that way or Select All. Once you have selected the ones you want click the Detect button and it will auto detect any duplicate printers and Alias them.

14 13.8. Next go to Queuw Aliasing if there are any of the same printers right click on the first one and then click Create Devise for each selected Queue.

15 13.9. Then select and drag the others to the All Available Makes where there will be a greyed out device you just created.

16 Next is Print Devices this is where you can setup spusific costs and type of printer color, mono, MFP ext. You will do this by right clicking a group of printers or just one and select Edit Selected Printer Models.

17 This will open a window that you can set what Class of printer it is as well as set the cost for b/w or color.

18 Next go to Reports go to Configure Logo tool set up your company logo on the report and give the report a name.

19 Next go to View Reports select your date range and then click the Generate button on the right. NOTE: Generating the report may take several moments.

20 Once you have generated a report review then export to your designated file folder.
