16 Bachelor s Degree Must hold a 4-year baccalaureate degree (any discipline) from a college or university of acceptable standing

17 Prerequisite Classes Human Anatomy Human Physiology U of S ACB or ACB PHPY and one of (PHPY 301.3, 303.3, or HSC 350.3) or PHSI U of R KIN 260 (formerly KHS 168) Both of: KIN 267 and 268 *Applicants must seek and receive approval for equivalent courses from the Admissions Committee well in advance of application.

21 Education Equity Program for Aboriginal Students Six positions for admission to the School of PT will be designated for Canadians of Aboriginal ancestry (First Nations, Metis, Inuit) who meet the admission requirements. Super Saturday at the U of S teaches children about the profession of physical therapy.

22 Selection Process used for Admission The Overall Admission Score is calculated using the Admission Average (weighted at 60%), and the score from a structured interview (weighted at 40%)

23 Admission Average Minimum Admission Average = 70% Calculated using at least 60 credit units Most recent credit units at the time of applying (December 15, 2015). For the purpose of calculating the Admission Average, terms are not divided even if only one course is needed to reach 60 credit units, all the courses in that term are taken.

24 Multi Mini Interview Includes evaluation of critical thinking ethical decision making communication and other personal characteristics important for success in health sciences Approximately 80 minutes (7 or 8 stations of 10 minutes each)

31 Other Requirements Prior to the first day of class in August: Updated C.P.R. certification equivalent to the Heart and Stroke Foundation Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Providers (C) including the application of an external defibrillator device (AED). Completed U of S Student Health Centre Immunization Record. Criminal Record Check including a Vulnerable Sector Check.
