11 The full story on Express Renewal. We ve made it automatic. Many of our customers have let us know that the process of renewing their SSL certificates is just too cumbersome. We couldn t let that stand. So we created a fast and easy way for you to renew your SSL certificates. Express Renewal. Here s how it works. And it s easy: 1. Submit a minimum 2048-bit CSR. Starting in 2013, this is going to be the required standard anyway, so if you do this now you ll be well ahead of the curve. 2. Select the type of certificate you need and the validity period. Your SSL certificate will be valid for the length of your payment term (1, 2 or 3 years), but won t need renewing for up to 6 years. 3. Once you ve done these two things, you immediately become part of the Express Renewal program which gives you a certificate valid for up to 6 years. What does that mean? Very simple. When your SSL certificate is up for renewal, all you need to do is redeem additional units to pay for the next billing period. That s it. No new CSR to generate or SSL certificate to re-install for up to six years if you ve got Standard SSL or Premium SSL Certificates and up to two years if you ve got Extended Validation (EV) SSL Certificates.

12 Once you get an Express Renewal certificate, you can also add AutoRedeem to streamline the entire renewal process. To automate the renewal process even further, activate AutoRedeem during your initial enrollment. You can also activate AutoRedeem within your Enterprise certificate management console at any time. Here s how it works. 1. At renewal, we ll deduct the appropriate number of units from your account, which automatically renews your certificate. 2. Prior to deducting units from your account, we ll send you an to alert you of the deduction. 3. You can deactivate AutoRedeem at any time, for any reason, and without penalty. 4. The Managed PKI for SSL account Administrator must enable Express Renewal and AutoRedeem, in the Enrollment Wizard under Configuration, for the account in order to take advantage of these features. The only truly automated renewal process available today.
