25 REVO Learning is a proposed, new charter school in the near Northeast educating children and youth from birth through 8th grade. REVO s innovative design is inspired by Expeditionary Learning and contains 6 components to ensure that every child is successful. We call it A Revolution in Learning.
26 REVO s Revolution in Learning Birth-8th Grade Continuous Care & Education a 14 year partnership between parents and school FREE infant and toddler care, preschool and full-day kindergarten for children who qualify for free or reduced lunch Expeditionary Learning s college-prep curriculum, with active and integrated teaching and learning, fieldwork and adventure, technology and second language learning for all students High quality early child care and learning can eliminate readiness and achievement gaps by kindergarten for low-income students, students of color, students learning English and children experiencing moderate toxic stress. -- Educare (2014) Family Supports, including health and wellness services, counseling, and adult education Longitudinal research on Expeditionary Learning repeatedly demonstrates the complete elimination of achievement gaps in Literacy and Math for English Language Learners and Hispanic students. -- UMASS Donahue Institute (2011)

Strong Code of Character and social-emotional development that creates a safe, warm and orderly learning environment Co-ed School with single gender classrooms to reduce social distractions and focus on learning Meaningful Family & School Relationships that allow for responsive and respectful discipline Year-Round Calendar with Before & After School programs from 6:30am 6:00pm Single gender instruction consistently demonstrates positive social and academic outcomes for both girls and boys, particularly for students of color and low-income students, including greater engagement in class, academic risk-taking, higher career goals, higher college graduation rates, and higher lifetime earnings. Single gender instruction also reduces high-risk teenage behaviors like smoking, drug use, promiscuity, unwanted pregnancies, high school drop out rates, domestic abuse and divorces.
