SAP HANA is a new database platform from SAP an in-memory database CPU and cache optimized mostly an Appliance that runs on SLES4SAP, only! has a defined processor architecture E7 (Intel Westmere EX, now IVY-Bridge EX) has a defined core-memory ratio (128 GB per Processor for BW and up to 512 GB per CPU for Suite - Westmere) (256 GB per Processor for BW and up to 512/768 GB per CPU for Suite for IVY-Bridge EX) 11

For Enterprise Storage In June 2013, SAP announced a pilot for SAP HANA Tailored Data Center (TDC) integration Goal is to leverage existing datacenter storage solution for SAP HANA Phase 1 (pilot phase) began Q2 13 and last through Q4 13. Phase 2 (GA) have begun Q4 13 and was limited to Max Attention Customers only already changed to minor support options Certification will vary by customer tailored to their data center resources 21
