3 1 Introduction The National Platform Data Model (NPDM) is the formal administrator of the library of Dutch MIG s (Message Implementation Guidelines) based on the WCO Data Model and the NL MIG Base Set (called Base Set from here on). This document describes the procedure for submitting and processing a new MIG or a new version of a published MIG for inclusion in the library. Page 3 of 8

4 2 Submit MIG Procedure The procedure to submit a new (version of a) MIG to be included in the NPDM library is as follows: 1. The organization that has created a new MIG, or a new version of a MIG published in the Library, has to fill out a Submit MIG Form (included and described in the next chapter) which must be submitted to the NPDM supporting staff via the Logius Service Center (servicecentrum@logius.nl). The Submit MIG Form MUST include: A public URL to the MIG; An indication for each category in the library which options in that category are applicable to the MIG; A description of the MIG. 2. The new (version of a) MIG is assessed by the NPDM supporting staff to verify if it complies with the Base Set. a. If the MIG does not comply with the Base Set, the originator of the request will be asked to adjust the MIG accordingly. After this a changed version can be submitted again; b. If the MIG does comply with the Base Set it will be added to the library by the administrator of the library using the supplied URL and category options on the Submit MIG Form. The addition of the MIG to the library will be announced to the NPDM in the next meeting. Page 4 of 8
