7 Software systems in receipt of NHS Dental Services transmission certification for general claim forms using web based technology Please note that we are at present testing with several other software companies and further companies are developing transmission software. What does NHS Dental Services transmission certification signify? NHSDS undertake a series of checks on the ability of software to transmit dental claims to NHSDS. Transmission Certification is awarded when a software supplier is able to demonstrate that satisfactory transmissions can be sent both under test conditions and with live claims from dental practices. Having gained certification a supplier is entitled to introduce dental practices with certificated software to direct transmission of claims to NHSDS. It should be noted that NHSDS Transmission Certification applies only to the specific package named on a certificate and only to that part of the package that validates, formats and transmits claims to NHSDS.
