3 Unoccupied Property Levels of Cover and Acceptance criteria for each level Level 1 Cover Optional reduction in premium for reduction in cover. Cover is restricted to Fire, Lightning, Earthquake, Explosion and 5m Property Owners Liability. (cover is subject to the terms and conditions of the policy) Acceptance criteria - available to all unoccupied properties except properties undergoing:- Major renovations / Structural Changes, or Conversion to private dwelling or flats, or Construction of an extension (cover is available under level 3 for any property not meeting these criterea) Level 2 Cover Discounted premium if acceptance criteria met. Cover is not restricted and full perils apply. (cover is subject to terms and conditions of the policy) Acceptance Criterea - available to all unoccupied properties which are fully furnished for normal habitation and have no works planned or being carried out. (cover is available under level 1 or 3 for any property not meeting these criterea) Level 3 Cover Standard unoccupied premiums apply. Cover is not restricted and full perils apply, however cover may be restricted by us if the property is undergoing:- Major renovations / Structural Changes, or Conversion to private dwelling or flats, or Constuction of an extension Acceptance criterea - available to all unoccupied properties (cover is subject to the terms and conditions of the policy) Please note that in all cases and for all unoccupied risks we will not provide any cover for:- Unoccupied commercial property (except where works to convert to residential status have started - please refer before you request cover), or Unoccupied property that will be demolished including where there are plans to demolish or where an application to demolish has been made. 6 General General Information and Risk Acceptance Criteria From time to time we may update this rating guide, although we will write to you with details of any changes at the appropriate time, we do request that you register on our website ( so you will receive regular updates about any changes within the Vasek Group. Financial Services Authority You must be, and remain, authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority and comply at all times with the rules of the Financial Services Authority. Vasek Insurance Services Limited are authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority. Our Firm Reference Number is Insurers All our policies are underwritten by Certain Underwriters at Lloyd s, under contract reference numbers BE and BE for business in the United Kingdom and under contract reference number BE for overseas property. Both the society of Lloyd s and Underwriters at Lloyd s are authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority. (Any changes to our Underwriters will be notified to you via and posted on our website). Risk Acceptance Criteria You may request us to hold covered for all standard risks that can be quoted direct from this rating guide, or via our online quote system or for risks that have been quoted by us following a submission of a quotation request from you. However, certain risks will require our acceptance before any cover will be granted. Please refer:- Where the property is undergoing structural changes or renovations Unoccupied properties to be insured for 500,000 or more that are having or will be having structural changes or renovations Where there have been previous claims or losses, except those accepted by our online quote system Where the property is of non-standard construction Where the property is not free from flooding, has previously flooded or is within 1/4 mile of any river, water course or the sea. Any property showing a 1 in 75 risk of flooding may be covered but flood cover will be excluded. Our website has a postcode checker for quick reference. Where the property has suffered from subsidence, landslip or heave or a survey has mentioned subsidence problems. If any other material fact or information you are aware of or that the policyholder has disclosed which could influence our decision to accept risk. If the property is to be demolished or is awaiting planning permission to do so The property is a barn. Quotations Provided by Us If we or our online quote system provide you with a quotation it will be valid for a period of 30 days, subject to the information given remaining unchanged, in all cases cover is subject to the completion of a satisfactory completed Statement of Fact. You can complete a Statement of Fact through our Online Trading platform. Holding Covered Procedure If you wish to place a risk on cover you may do so as follows: Complete a Holding Covered Request form and fax it to our office Fax or full details of the risk to our office. Submit a hard copy Statement of Fact form via post, fax or . Our Statement of Fact does not require a signature. Cooling off Period We allow a cooling off period of 14 days under our policies, this reads as follows in all our documents:- If you decide that you do not wish to proceed then you can cancel this insurance by notifying the insurance broker who sold you this insurance, or us, within 14 days of either:- The date you should have received your policy documentation, or The start of the period of insurance whichever is the later. Providing you have not made any claims we will refund the premium on a pro rata basis less an administration charge of 15. Policy Wordings We issue policy wordings with all new business cases at the time of cover commencing, if you would like further copies of any policy wording you can download them at Administration Fees We charge a 15 admin fee on all new business and renewals. An admin fee of 10 may be charged for midterm adjustments.

7 Portfolio Policies We consider any policy that has 2 or more properties insured, a portfolio. Portfolio discounts are available when 3 or more properties are insured under a policy. For larger risks we will be able to offer larger discounts. Please contact our office or visit our website for further details. You can any of our departments direct if you have a specific question or wish to provide us with information, full contact details can be found on our website Unoccupied Property When a property is insured under our Unoccupied Property Insurance Policy, subsidence cover will only be granted upon receipt of a satisfactory survey report, not more than two years old from the commencement date of cover. Renewals Where we are in possession of all relevant information will we issue renewal documents no later than 21 days prior to renewal. Where we do not intend to renew a policy or where more onerous terms are to be applied we will make all reasonable efforts to notify you no later than 21 days prior to the renewal date informing you of our decision. Please ensure that you notify us that an insurance policy is to be renewed within 14 days following the renewal date. Please ensure that you notify us that an insurance policy is to be lapsed within 30 days following the renewal date. Claims Please notify our claims department immediately of any claim or notification to you by the insured client or third party claimant of any claim or potential claim. We will send to you a claim form for completion by the insured client, or you can download a claim form from our website, Alternatively you may wish to use our online claims service in our website.
