1 Business Administration/ Bus Ad Industrial Quality Computer Programming in supervisory and management positions within the business community; to include the areas of planning, organizing, directing and controlling of a business, with emphasis on selected theories of management and decision making and the knowledge and understanding necessary for managing people and functions. as entry level programmers, programmer specialists, computer programmers, senior programmers, chief business programmers, programmer analysts, and information systems programmers or to provide supplemental training for persons previously or currently employed in these occupations. Job Placement After completing the program, students will be able to secure employment in their field of study.
2 Computer Programming & Analysis Employability Skills Students will be able to demonstrate the skills necessary to secure employment in the computer programming field (See FL DOE Curriculum Frameworks, Part V (Intended Outcomes), Item 11? Demonstrate employability skills. Criminal Justice Dental Hygiene The Criminal Justice degree program prepares students to work as criminal justice practitioners/supervisors/managers in law enforcement agencies, correctional institutions, juvenile courts, crime laboratories and mobile units dealing with physical evidence, or to provide supplemental training for persons previously or currently employed in these occupations. The purpose of this program is to prepare students for employment as a dental hygienist. Criminal Justice System Components Institutionalization Functions of Dental Anatomical Landmarks, Pathological Conditions of the Teeth. Patient Pre assessment and all Aspects of Preventive Dentistry. Community Health Programs The student will describe the components of the criminal justice system and their primary responsibilities. The student will identify the major differences between juvenile and adult institutionalization. Anatomy and pathology of the teeth are identified and described. Methods of delivering good oral hygiene and a variety of treatments are discussed. Providing useful information and treatments to those in need in the community.
3 Drafting and Design ebusiness Emergency Medical Services as drafters or chief design drafters or to provide supplement training for persons previously or currently employed in these occupations. in occupations in e business such as Computer Specialist. This program focuses on a balance of business and technology components and allows the student to gain additional skills in one of four areas of specialization: Business,, Software and Security. The purpose of this program is to prepare students to provide advanced pre hospital emergency care as a paramedic. Employability Skills Job Placement Paramedic's Roles and Responsibilities Medical Emergencies Students will be able to demonstrate the skills necessary to secure employment in the drafting and design technology field. Students will be able to secure employment in their field of study. Identifying the role of the paramedic as a member of the emergency medical services team. Recognize and evaluate the extent of injuries in an emergency.
4 Emergency Medical Services Medication and Treatment Administration Administering the correct medication and/or treatment in order to assist a patient in need. Human Services The purpose of this program is to prepare students to be a generalist human services worker who will serve in a variety of positions in community, social, and behavioral agencies. Client assessment and evaluation. Students will demonstrate proficiency in assessing and evaluating a client's history. Industrial Management Information Security To prepare students for initial employment with an occupational title as industrial manager or to provide supplemental training for persons previously or currently employed in these occupations. as Database Security professionals and E Commerce Security professionals. The content prepares individuals to work in Internet, intranet, extranet, and enterprise environments; installing, configuring, designing, and managing secure database and E commerce re Knowledge of professional and ethical foundations. Developing Case Management Plans Feasibility Study Students will demonstrate knowledge of the human services profession and perform only those duties to be carried out by human services professionals. Students will apply skills they have learned to develop and implement case management plans. Determine the feasibility of continuing to offer this degree program.
5 Information Security Network Skills Students will be able to demonstrate knowledge of network environments, LAN and WAN protocols and LAN design techniques (see FLDOE Curriculum Framework, Part IV (Intended Outcomes, Item 2 Demonstrate an understanding of networked environments, hardware, and software.) Internet Services The purpose of this program is to prepare students for employment as Internet/Intranet Technicians, Administrators, Developers, Managers and Masters; Web Technicians, Managers, Architects, Administrators and Masters; Web Site Developers; Internet Support Specialists; Web Page Designers; and Web Database Administrators. Employability Skills Students will be able to demonstrate the skills necessary to secure employment in the computer programming field (see FLDOE Curriculum Framework, Part IV (Intended Outcomes), Item 11 Demonstrate employability skills.)
6 Networking Services as cabling specialists, PC support technicians, network control operators, data communications analysts, help desk specialists, network technicians, computer security specialists, network specialists, network managers, network systems analysis, network systems technicians, network troubleshooters, WAN/LAN managers, or systems administrators. Network Skills Students will be able to demonstrate knowledge of network environments, LAN and WAN protocols and LAN design techniques (see FLDOE Curriculum Framework, Part XI (Intended Outcomes), Item 1 Demonstrate understanding of networked environments).
7 Nursing The purpose of the Associate Degree Nursing Program is to: 1. Prepare an educated entry level practitioner who provides safe, competent nursing care to clients experiencing defined health needs with predictable outcomes in a variety of nurse practice settings. 2. Provide a foundation for future education in nursing and lifelong learning. 3. Foster a commitment to the art and science of nursing. 4. Provide opportunities for cultural enrichment and for personal and professional development. Student Learning Outcome Critical Thinking The student nurse will demonstrate an increase in critical thinking skills throughout program progression. *Critical thinking is the use of reasoning, analysis, synthesis and evaluation of client data and other information and must be utilized by the nurse in making clinical decisions and providing safe competent care to clients (see FL DOE Curriculum Framework, Intended Outcomes for Program Completers, Item 15 and Chapter 64B9 Florida Administrative Code; Rules of the Board of Nursing 64B ) Student Learning Outcome Therapeutic Communication Skills The student nurse will utilize a variety of interactive, therapeutic communication skills with clients and health team members to promote positive client outcomes. *Effective utilization of verbal and written skills, group processes and information technologies is developed and utilized by the nurse in order to appropriately make decisions and provide safe competent client care (see FL DOE Curriculum Framework, Intended Outcomes for Program Completers, Item 13 and Chapter 64B9 Florida Administrative Code; Rules of the Board of Nursing 64B )
8 Nursing Student Learning Outcome Therapeutic Nursing Interventions The student nurse will demonstrate competency in therapeutic nursing interventions (skills). *Implementation is the process of carrying out planned dependent, independent, and collaborative therapeutic nursing interventions in an environment conducive to the promotion of positive client outcomes. The nurse continuously assesses and reassesses the effectiveness of interventions to meet the health care needs of the individual, family, groups, and the client in the community (see FL DOE Curriculum Framework, Intended Outcomes for Program Completers, Item 16 and Chapter 64B9 Florida Administrative Code; Rules of the Board of Nursing 64B ) Office Administration/ Off Admin Legal Specialization in secretarial and administrative assistant positions including the specialization of legal office systems manager. Job Placement After completing the program, students will be able to secure employment in their field of study.
9 Paralegal as paralegals, title examiners or abstractors, or to provide supplemental training for persons previously or currently employed in these occupations. Employability Skills Identify acceptable work habits. Radiography The purpose of this program is to prepare individuals to be qualified members of the health care team, entering the workforce as a radiographer. Anatomy, Physiology, and Patient Positioning Radiographic Image Quality Patient Care and Comfort. Positioning the patient to accurately demonstrate anatomical structures. Evaluating a radiograph for appropriate positioning and image quality. Provide proper care to the patient while in the radiology department.
