Salesforce - A brief overview To be effective in business you need to be able to track and assimilate information from several different sources. Even the smallest organisations will have accounts, invoices, orders, s and budgets, and keeping on top of them can be a challenge which will require a highly effective and competent Customer Relationship Management System (CRM). Salesforce is the world s leading cloud-based CRM system, and it facilitates the centralisation of all the tools you need to keep your business running. Founded in 1999 and based in San Francisco, the Salesforce platform allows its subscribers to organise all of their important business information in an intuitive manner to help save time and increase efficiency. It is now the fastest-growing CRM system on the planet with over two million subscribers, and Forbes Magazine has ranked Salesforce.com as the world s Most Innovative Company for three years in a row. 3. Your current CRM requirments The key to Salesforce s success has been the way they have created accessible and informationrich dashboards which can be easily customised to suit the requirements of each user. The main screen contains tabs which show the user their key accounts and targets, their tasks for the day and dashboards showing overall performance. One popular feature included is the ability to be able to synchronise Salesforce to your Microsoft Outlook account, allowing you to centralise all of your calendars and s into one place which you can access from a range of different devices. In addition to their CRM offering, Salesforce offers an AppExchange for cloud computing applications built for the Salesforce community and delivered by partners and third-party developers which users can install and add to their Salesforce environment. There are currently over 2,000 applications available on the AppExchange and these are built by Salesforce partners within their own developer platform, called Force.com using proprietary coding languages Apex and Visualforce. A consulting partner for over three years, Rhetorik has created an application for integrating ICT marketing database, NetFinder, with Salesforce. A. Rhetorik Consultancy i. C. NetFinder Salesforce Application We re delighted to announce the launch of our NetFinder for Salesforce Application. Rhetorik Solutions industry-leading ICT marketing database, NetFinder has been packaged up into a managed plug-in application which is available to all clients who are currently using Salesforce as their CRM system. It has been developed and rigorously tested and passed all Salesforce protocols and security benchmarks. The NetFinder Salesforce Application contains the comprehensive business intelligence and contact information that you will find in our existing NetFinder online application, yet places it at your disposal within tabs, look-up panes and Visualforce panels within your existing CRM records. In short, the NetFinder for Salesforce Application offers a centralised view of all your ICT customers and prospects, and gives you the ability to compare, upload or amend CRM records at the click of a button. Furthermore, the application is automatically updated, which means that whenever your customers and prospects move, change names or addresses, and make developments to technical hardware or software in place, you immediately have access to the very latest information from NetFinder within your Salesforce CRM record. NetFinder Salesforce Application Product Features We ve designed this product to make everything as simple and accessible as possible. 1. Single Sign-on Once the NetFinder for Salesforce Application has been successfully installed, you ll only ever need to log in to your Salesforce account to be able to access the full functionality of NetFinder. In addition, there is a button within each account and contact record which will take you directly to the relevant selection within NetFinder. 2

4 2. Visualforce Information Panels Within each record held in your CRM system for ICT Decision Makers, you ll see an additional panel of detail below the main record. This panel contains useful and continuously-updated information at both account and contact level that we hold in NetFinder. You ll be able to see up-to-the-minute contact and site information displayed in easy-to-use tabs showing Site Details, PCs & LAN, WAN & Telecoms, Further Technologies, Servers & Applications and Financial and group structure. This ensures that the user immediately benefits from relevant and updated business intelligence information within the Salesforce account or contact record, without needing to import information or moving off the page. 3. Search Facility in NetFinder The user has an intuitive ability to look up any ICT decision-making or management contact in NetFinder using a range of selection panes across a number of search fields at site and contact level. Once the correct record has been identified, the data can be compared which allows the user to quickly identify and upload new sites and associated contacts without the need to manually key in any information. This facility can be used to maintain data hygiene standards on existing records and to facilitate correct information at both account and contact level. 4. Campaign Object Functionality The new NetFinder Salesforce Application offers complete integration the Salesforce Campaign object. It provides the user with an easy and flexible way to add data from NetFinder to campaign lists created in Salesforce. Furthermore, any campaign created in Salesforce, campaign members can be clicked on to access NetFinder data for individual contacts. The information displayed can then be manipulated to analyse sales for different campaign responses for the campaign members.
