The conference host hotel is the Marriott Hotel Downtown, 250 North Main Street, Memphis, TN Rooms remain available at our block rate of $159 + tax per night for a King Size or two Double beds, based on availability. Activities After Day 1 of the Seminar - Friday, May 17 6:30pm - 10:00pm: MEMPHIS RIVERBOAT DINNER CRUISE/JUDICIAL RECEPTION AND AWARDS CEREMONY - The FBA will host a dinner for our local Judiciary, Federal Judges, Immigration Judges and US Court of Appeal Judges immediately following the Friday seminar. This year our Awards Ceremony will take place on the Mighty Mississippi. View the beautiful Memphis skyline on a two hour cruise while dining on down home Southern cooking along with a Chinese buffet. Gather with your fellow participants and have fun singing and dancing along with recording artists Henry Gross and Mike Chapman. There will be a cash bar available. Boarding and entertainment begins at 6:30pm. The cruise will depart the docks at 8:00 pm SHARP. Tickets are $25.00.

Each year the World Championship Barbeque Cooking Contest entertains visitors from around the world. In 2012, visitors came from all 50 states and 8 foreign countries. Post Seminar Activity - Sunday, May 19 Activities After Day 2 of the Seminar - Saturday, May 18 6:00pm 12:00am: A STROLL DOWN BEALE STREET - In the heart of downtown Memphis with three blocks of nightclubs, restaurants and retail shops, the Beale Street entertainment district is a melting pot of delta blues, jazz, rock 'n' roll, R&B and gospel. With cold refreshments and hot music, Beale Street is the very heart of entertainment in Memphis. With more than 25 clubs including B.B. King s, Coyote Ugly, Hard Rock Café, Alfred s and Rum Boogie Café, it's no wonder that the world-famous Beale attracts both locals and visitors alike. 11:00am 4:00pm: GROUP OUTING TO GRACELAND Known the world over by his first name, he is regarded as one of the most important figures of twentieth century popular culture. Visit his home and see why he was known as The King. Vehicles will leave the Downtown Marriot Hotel at 11:00am Sunday morning to drive to Graceland (3765 Elvis Presley Blvd., Memphis, TN 38116). Vehicles can organize their own groups and depart the hotel and return on their own time frame. The driving distance is approximately 10 miles from the hotel. Tickets are $35.00 (approximately) :00pm - 5:00pm: GROUP OUTING TO NATIONAL CIVIL RIGHTS MUSEUM The National Civil Rights Museum ( located at the Lorraine Motel, the assassination site of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., chronicles key episodes of the American civil rights movement and the legacy of this movement to inspire participation in civil and human rights efforts globally, through our collections, exhibitions, and educational programs. Vehicles will leave the Downtown Marriot Hotel at 1:00pm Sunday afternoon to drive to the National Civil Rights Museum.
