1 Progression requirements for International Foundation Programme students to linked undergraduate degrees within the School of Languages, Linguistics and Film, Queen Mary, University of London There is a minimum requirement of 60% in English Language and Study Skills (IFP3801/IFP3901) on the IFP for students wishing to progress to linked degrees within the School of Languages, Linguistics and Film. Applicants for language-based degrees must have a language other than their mother tongue to A level standard. English at 60% is acceptable for students who do not have English as their mother tongue. Students with English as a mother tongue must have another language to A level standard for progression to language-based degrees within the School of Languages, Linguistics and Film. IFP students are not eligible to apply for any programmes involving French unless they can demonstrate they have A level French at grade B or equivalent. Offers are also subject to the successful completion of a UCAS application form to an appropriate standard with a good quality Personal Statement together with a positive reference. In addition, please note that the School of Languages, Linguistics and Film reserves the right to interview potential students at their discretion. If applicants are asked to attend an interview, they will need to successfully pass this before being given an offer. Specific entry requirements for linked undergraduate degrees within the School of Languages, Linguistics and Film are listed in the table below. Note: it is only possible to take one language other than English. May
