12 Since 2010, four film and television studio facilities have announced plans to locate to or expand in Georgia. All of these facilities have determined that the production environment in Georgia has long-term potential based on the number of projects that are and have been shooting in the state. 13 Georgia s entertainment industries are among the state s fastestgrowing industries. More than 25,000 Georgians are employed in the entertainment industry. In 2009, the Georgia Film, Music & Digital Entertainment Sourcebook s business listings increased by 18% in 2010, they increased another 10%. The FMDE office can track a minimum of 363,129 work days supported by the industry in FY10. A minimum of 7 to 8 productions can be simultaneously supported by the local crew base and that number is growing.

Local economic impact can be significant from film and TV production. Hiring of local residents, hotel stays, purchases of goods and services among local expenditures. Film-induced tourism can bring additional county visitors.
