4 Background F.Y. Embassy, Fyrbodal Youth Embassy is a partnership between 14 municipalities within Fyrbodal. Uddevalla municipality is the project owner. The project is funded by the European Integration Fund and aims to counteract the repression of honor and other values that are incompatible with human rights. This should be done by finding young ambassadors who can act good role models and lecturing on the subject. The project is aimed at young people aged The project aims to change attitudes Implementation F.Y. EMBASSY receives expressions of interest from young people by going out and lecturing in schools, youth clubs, associations, etc. Young people also have the opportunity to register interest on their own by going our website, sending a / call or SMS to the project manager. The project also offers education to staff at companies and municipalities and for parents of adolescents who are admitted to F.Y. EMBASSYs deepend education.

5 F.Y.EMBASSY should turn to young people aged FYE s objectives and guidelines F.Y.EMBASSY s target group is primarily young people with foreign background F.Y.EMBASSY s message will focus on influencing and changing attitudes. The message must be communicated to young people and adults regardless of ethnicity F.Y.EMBASSY s geographical area is Fyrbodal F.Y.EMBASSY s main purpose is to prevent oppression and behaviors and values that are not compatible with equal values and human rights. F.Y.EMBASSY provides 14 municipalities in Fyrbodal seminars, lectures and dialogue groups for young people aged years F.Y.EMBASSY provides 14 municipalities in Fyrbodal training seminar for the staff who are involved in each municipality F.Y.EMBASSY provides training to parents whose youngsters have been admitted to to F.Y. EMBASSYs deepend education. F.Y.EMBASSY shall offer the young people who are admitted to the deepend education a knowledge enriching education in the form of a 3 step model. The deepend education must be a deepening on topics they have begun in the previous dialogue group meetings. In addition to topics such as: human rights, the UNCRC, democracy, integration, segregation, cultural similarities / differences and honor problems, trained young people in communications, meeting techniques and about preparing for giving lectures. F.Y.EMBASSY shall provide a certificate of attendance for they who participated in the deepend education. F.Y.EMBASSY must certify their prospective young ambassadors solemnly after completing and passing the deepend education, followed by classroom practice. F.Y.EMBASSY shall promote the development of the project and work actively in earlier stage to ensure the survival of the project after its completion in June 2012

6 Active municipalities Åmål Här finns vi We are active in Fyrbodal. Fyrbodal is a county district in Västra Götaland. The name comes from Fyrbodal Fyrstad (Lysekil, Uddevalla, Trollhättan and Vänersborg municipalities), Bohuslän and Dalsland. Fyrbodal area has a population of approximately 273,000 people
