1 Scholarships, Grants, and Fellowships that Accept Applications from Non-US Citizens Acumen Fund Fellowship Established in 2006, the Global Fellows Program is a 12-month fellowship for individuals dedicated to serving the poor and who have the business and operational expertise, and moral imagination needed to effect long-term social change. The fellowship begins with an eight-week training program in the Acumen New York office, where Fellows learn about business models for the poor, hone their leadership skills, and learn more about Acumen. After training, each Fellow works for the CEO or senior management of an Acumen investee on a critical business issue facing the organization. Fellows have worked on projects ranging from leading operations of a new business unit at a cotton ginnery in Uganda, to expanding the clinic network of a pharmacy company in India, to developing branding strategies for a microfinance institution in Pakistan. Open to applicants of any nationality, and we are prepared to do what is possible and reasonable to address Fellows visa and immigration issues. AAMC Financing Your Medical Education A series of grants and awards honoring individuals in the fields of medical education, research, and community service. Deadlines variable, most due May 1, 2015 AIA / AAF Minority / Disadvantaged Scholarship The AIA/AIAF Minority Disadvantaged Scholarship Fund has been renamed the AIA/F Diversity Advancement Scholarship. The call for applications will open soon. Grants ranging from $500-$2,500 for high school seniors and first-years who intend to pursue a NAAB-accredited professional degree (5-year BA or BA + MA) in architecture. Applicants must be legal residents of the United States. Deadline: Early January 2015 American Institute for Economic Research (AIER) s Summer Fellowship Practicum AIER s Summer Fellowship Practicum program introduces accomplished college students, post graduates and graduate students to the Institute s mission, work, and research principles. Working closely with AIER research staff, summer fellows are immersed in the economic research process from conception to completion. The AIER Practicum enhances Fellows understanding of economic concepts, theories, and real world applications, and provide an opportunity to develop research, writing, and presentation skills. To be eligible, you must fit the following criteria: either a graduate or a senior college student majoring in economics, finance, business or related fields. Non-US students can apply if they are enrolled in a U.S. degree granting institution, have CPT or OPT, or have employment authorization in the United States.

2 Albright Institute Fellowships The Albright annually provides up to $330,000 in fellowships and awards to 32 recipients. In addition, 32 Associate Fellows including Senior, Post-Doctoral, and Research Fellows receive funding from other sources. Fellowships are open to students and scholars in Near Eastern studies from prehistory through the early Islamic period, including the fields of archaeology, anthropology, art history, Bible, epigraphy, historical geography, history, language, literature, philology and religion and related disciplines. The research period should be continuous, without frequent trips outside the country. Residence at the Albright is required (except for the Frerichs Fellow/Program Coordinator). The option to accommodate dependents is subject to space available at the Albright. Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students who were diagnosed with hearing loss before the age of seven are eligible for a merit-based scholarship ranging from $1,000-$10,000. Deadline: March **Not for undergraduates, the ages are too young Allen Lee Hughes Fellowship Individuals interested in artistic and technical production, arts administration and community engagement. Fellowships are designed for recent graduates (undergraduate or graduate) and career changers interested in pursuing a career in the professional theater. Fellowship provides a modest stipend and is intended to increase participation of people of color in the arts. Deadline: mid-march (summer), mid-april (season). All-USA College Academic Team Note: Link does not route to correct pages, for either college or community college options. Recognition program for exceptional full-tim e undergraduates at four-year institutions in the USA and its territories. Recipients named on the First Team each receive a trophy and a $2,500 cash award. Forty more runners-up named to the Second and Third Teams receive certificates. Amelia Earhart Fellowships (Zonta International Foundation) Women of any nationality pursuing a Ph.D./doctoral degree who demonstrate a superior academic record in the field of aerospace-related sciences or aerospace-related engineering are eligible. Applicants must be registered in a full-time Ph.D./doctoral program when funds are received in September and will not graduate in the following semester. Please note that postdoctoral research programs are not eligible for the Fellowship. Members and employees of Zonta International or the Zonta International Foundation are also not eligible to apply for the Fellowship. Current fellows may apply to renew the Fellowship for a second year and will undergo the same application and evaluation procedures as first-time applicants. Deadline: November

3 American Architectural Foundation and Sir John Soane's Museum Foundation Traveling Fellowship The purpose of the Sir John Soane's Museum Foundation Traveling Fellowship is to enable students in graduate degree programs in the history of art, architecture, interior design, and the decorative arts to travel to London to pursue research projects related to any aspect of the work of Sir John Soane or Sir John Soane's Museum and its collections. Annually, the Foundation entertains and reviews proposals from qualified candidates from universities and institutions around the world. Two awards are presented - one to a student of architecture and the second open to all candidates. Recipients are selected by Sir John Soane's Museum Foundation Fellowship Advisory Committee. Fellowship amount is $5,000. Deadline: March 1st American Association for University Women - International Fellowships International Fellowships are awarded for full-time study or research in the United States to women who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Both graduate and postgraduate studies at accredited U.S. institutions are supported. Applicants must have earned the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor s degree by September 30, 2014, and must have applied to their proposed institutions of study by the time of the application. Up to five International Master s/first Professional Degree Fellowships are renewable for a second year. Deadline: December 1st. American Center of Oriental Research Scholarships and Fellowships The foundation offers a series of monetary grants and fellowships based on research within the Asian continent, and is open to various nationalities. This is available to pre-doctoral and post-doctoral students. Deadlines variable. American Institute of the History of Pharmacy Grant The American Institute of the History of Pharmacy wishes to encourage academic research within its scope. Therefore it offers a grant-in-aid totaling $2,000 or more annually to a graduate student to reinforce historical investigations of some aspect of pharmacy, whether ancient or modern, to pay research expenses not normally met by the university granting the degree. Any thesis project devoted to the history of pharmacy, history of drugs, or other humanistic study utilizing a pharmaco-historical approach, is eligible if based in an institution of higher learning of the USA. The graduate student need not be an American citizen; nor does the research topic need to be in the field of American history. Deadline: February 1 st each year.

4 American Foreign Service Association's Advocacy and Government Affairs Internship AFSA is pleased to offer an Advocacy and Government Affairs Internship to college and graduate students interested in international affairs, advocacy/grassroots mobilization, communications, stakeholder engagement, and the U.S. Foreign Service..During their time at AFSA, interns will also have unique opportunities to talk with Foreign Service employees, learn about the Foreign Service, and gain insights into the workings of the State Department and other foreign affairs agencies. Arrangements will be made for at least one visit to a State Department press briefing, and we strive to identify opportunities for high-level interaction for our interns. AFSA offers this internship in the spring, summer and fall. Fall (September- December) and spring (January-May) interns are expected to work at least two full days a week (equivalent of 16 hours), for which they receive a $450 stipend. Summer (June-August) interns, who must be available full-time, receive $550. We are also happy to coordinate with the appropriate college office for the conferral of academic credit for the internship. Please note that all interns are responsible for arranging their own housing and covering their own expenses. This fellowship is also open to international students. American Nuclear Society (ANS) Graduate Scholarships A series of scholarships (ranging from $1,000- $5000) for either undergraduates or graduates in nuclear science and technology.u.s. and non-u.s. applicants must be ANS student members enrolled in and attending an accredited institution in the United States. Deadline: early April. American Scandinavian Foundation The American-Scandinavian Foundation (ASF) offers over $500,000 in funding to Scandinavians to undertake study or research programs (usually at the graduate level) in the United States for up to one year. Candidates for awards are recommended to the ASF by our cooperating organizations. In order to apply submit applications to the appropriate cooperative organization (see below). Awards are made in all fields. Eligible candidates must be citizens of one of the following countries: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway or Sweden. Deadlines variable. Armenian Students Association of Americas, Inc. The purposes of this Association are educational and charitable, in that it shall encourage educational pursuits by Armenians in America and the raising of their intellectual standards, provide financial assistance in the form of scholarships and loans to deserving Armenian students, develop fellowship among them, cultivate in them the spirit of service in the public interest, and acquaint them and the entire American community with Armenian culture. Fulltime students of Armenian ancestry are eligible to apply for scholarships of $500 to $1,500 per year. Applicants should either have US citizenship or have the appropriate visa status. Applicants should be able to demonstrate financial need and good academic performance. Deadlines vary.

5 Asian Cultural Council Whether Asian or American, whether a cutting-edge painter or a traditional dancer, whether a classical musician or a modern cultural archeologist any gifted individual artist or scholar who seeks to grow in his or her craft or field can apply for funding to conduct research and study, receive specialized training, undertake observation tours, or pursue non-commercial creative activity in the United States or among the countries of Asia. Applications open in September. Asian Development Bank (ADB) - Japan Scholarship Program It aims to provide an opportunity for well-qualified citizens of ADB's developing member countries* to pursue postgraduate studies in economics, management, science and technology, and other development-related fields at participating academic institutions in the Asian and Pacific Region. Upon completion of their study programs, scholars are expected to contribute to the economic and social development of their home countries. The ADB-JSP enrolls about 300 students annually in participating academic institutions located in 10 countries within the region, and provides full scholarships for one to two years. Applicants from graduated member countries, i.e., Hong Kong, China, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, and Taipei,China, are no longer eligible to apply. Deadlines: variable. Future Leaders Forum Student Scholarship Program The Association for International Agriculture and Rural Development (AIARD) administers a competitive scholarship program to nurture and to provide partial financial support to students attending both 1) the AIARD Annual Conference and 2) the annual Future Leaders Forum in Washington, D.C. Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis to students who have a sincere interest in international agriculture and rural development issues and their solutions. These scholarships are intended to enhance the students' understanding and appreciation of issues and opportunities in international agriculture and rural development. Undergraduate or graduate students, foreign and American are encouraged to apply. Deadline: April Association for Women in Science Educational Foundation Graduate fellowships of $1,000 per year for female students enrolled in a behavioral, life, physical, or social science or engineering program leading to a Ph.D. Deadline: January. Belgian American Education Fund, Inc. The foundation offers fellowships for study or/and research in the United States. In addition to the amounts indicated, BAEF also pays for health insurance at the US institution. Fellows are Belgian citizens, who are expected to stay in the USA for a full academic year at a US institution or for a full year to do research institution. Deadline: October 31st.

6 Bibliographical Society of America Fellowship Program The Society invites applications for its seventh annual Katharine Pantzer Senior Fellowship in Bibliography and the British Book Tradesas well as its annual short-term fellowships, all of which support bibliographical inquiry and research in the history of the book trades and in publishing history. Eligible topics may concentrate on books and documents in any field, but should focus on the book or manuscript (the physical object) as historical evidence. Such topics may include establishing a text or studying the history of book production, publication, distribution, collecting, or reading. Stipend amounts vary. Dumbarton Oaks Fellowships Dumbarton Oaks offers residential fellowships in three areas of study: Byzantine Studies (including related aspects of late Roman, early Christian, Western medieval, Slavic, and Near Eastern studies), Pre-Columbian Studies (of Mexico, Central America, and Andean South America), and Garden and Landscape Studies. Fellowships are open to graduate students and doctoral candidates. Deadlines vary. Non-US citizen applicants should check their visa status before applying. BMI Foundation Student Awards BMI Foundations offers a series of scholarships for various music and art related fellowships and awards. Some geographical restrictions may apply. Most scholarships are open to citizens of a country in the Western Hemisphere, but require either current or previous attendance at a US university. Deadlines variable. Caldwell Fellowships An intensive leadership-development fellowship to conduct research and travel abroad. Applicants must be first-year undergraduate students at NC State. Deadline: early January. Cambridge Overseas Trust Established by the University of Cambridge, UK in order to support international students. Offers full and part scholarships at all levels applications are made to the University, not the trust. Some scholarships require additional application to a funding partner. Deadline: Early December Newman Civic Fellows Award The Newman Civic Fellows Award honors inspiring college student leaders who have demonstrated an investment in finding solutions for challenges facing communities throughout the country. Through service, research, and advocacy, Newman Civic Fellows are making the most of their college experiences to better understand themselves, the root causes of social issues, and effective mechanisms for creating lasting change. These students represent the next generation of public problem solvers and civic leaders. They serve as national examples of the role that higher education can and does play in building a better world. Deadline: opens January

7 Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW) The Fellowships and Awards Program supports graduate study, literacy, and the creative arts through awards and grants ranging from $2,000 to $11,500. Numerous fellowships available to graduate students. Eligibility is restricted to women, and those who are either Canadian citizens or permanent residents in Canada. Deadline: early November. Canon Collins Scholarship for Masters Study in the UK Canon Collins offers a variety of scholarships and funding for nationals or those with refugee status from Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia, or Zimbabwe. This scholarship partners with specific UK institutions to fund full tuition fees, a monthly stipend, a return economy flight, a settling-in allowance and other support whilst in the UK. Carnegie Endowment for International Peace Junior Fellow Program Each year the endowment offers approximately one-year fellowships to uniquely qualified graduating seniors and individuals who have graduated during the past academic year. They are selected from a pool of nominees from close to 400 participating colleges. Carnegie junior fellows work as research assistants to the endowment's senior associates. Those who have begun graduate studies are not eligible for consideration. Certain universities are eligible. Year -long paid internship in international affairs at the Carnegie Endowment for World Peace in Washington DC for graduating seniors and individuals who have graduated during the past academic year. Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. Deadline: October-January. Center for Neuroscience at the University of Pittsburgh (CNUP) summer fellowship Each summer, the Center for Neuroscience at the University of Pittsburgh (CNUP) sponsors a 10-week program in which selected undergraduate students conduct research investigating diverse aspects of nervous system function under the guidance of individual CNUP training faculty. Eligible student must fit the following criteria: 1. Completion of sophomore or junior year of undergraduate training. 2. GPA of 3.0 ("B") or higher, especially in science, math, and related coursework. 3. All applicants must be undergraduate students currently enrolled full-time at a U.S. college or university, or who are citizens of the U.S. or her protectorates, including residents of Puerto Rico./International applicants will be required to provide official authorization for Optional Practical Training (OPT) from their home institution, prior to their arrival in Pittsburgh. Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) internships CSIS offers full and part-time internships in the fall, spring and summer for undergraduates, advanced students, and recent graduates who are interested in gaining practical experience in public policy. Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S, and at least a college junior in good standing, an advanced student or a recent graduate. Deadlines: early August (Fall), late November (Spring), mid-march (Summer).

8 Charles G. Koch Summer Fellow Program The Charles G. Koch Summer Fellow Program offers internships in public policy located in Washington, DC, and at state-based policy organizations across the country featuring a $4,800 stipend. Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. Deadline: March 1 st. Charlotte W. Newcombe Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship The Charlotte W. Newcombe Doctoral Dissertation Fellowships are designed to encourage original and significant study of ethical or religious values in all fields of the humanities and social sciences, and particularly to help Ph.D. candidates in these fields complete their dissertation work in a timely manner. In addition to topics in religious studies or in ethics (philosophical or religious), dissertations appropriate to the Newcombe Fellowship competition might explore the ethical implications of foreign policy, the values influencing political decisions, the moral codes of other cultures, and religious or ethical issues reflected in history or literature. Applicants must be candidates for Ph.D. or Th.D. degrees in an American doctoral program at a graduate school located in the United States, and in the writing stage of his or her dissertation. Candidates working on D.Min., law, Psy.D., Ed.D. and other professional degrees are not eligible. Chevening Scholarship Program Chevening Scholarships are the UK Government s global scholarship programme, funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations. The scholarships support study at UK universities mostly one-year Master's degrees for individuals with demonstrable potential to become future leaders, decision makers and opinion formers. To be eligible you must: be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country (see map for details), and intend to return there for a minimum of two years after your Chevening Award has finished. People with dual British citizenship cannot apply, unless you are a citizen of a British Overseas Territory or hold BN(O) and are applying from Hong Kong. Deadlines vary per country. Christine Mirzayan Science & Technology Policy Graduate Fellowship Program The Christine Mirzayan Science & Technology Policy Graduate Fellowship Program provides early career individuals with the opportunity to spend 12 weeks at the National Academies in Washington, DC learning about science and technology policy and the role that scientists and engineers play in advising the nation. Each year, applicants from around the world become part of a National Academies' committee, board, or unit where they are assigned to a mentor and learn about the world of science and technology policy. An immersive experience, the program is designed to broaden fellows appreciation of employment opportunities outside academia and leave them with both a firm grasp of the important and dynamic role of science and technology in decision-making and a better understanding of the role that they can play in strengthening the science and technology enterprise for the betterment of mankind. The program is open to US citizens, US permanent residents, and non-us citizens who hold the following visas: F-1 students using CPT (curricular practical training); F-1 students using OPT (optional practical training); J-2 dependents; J-1 students using academic training; J-1 research scholars with written approval of their Responsible Officer; DACA recipients; and adjustment applicants, refugees, asylees, and selected other visa classes. 9 Cosmos Club Foundation Grants in Aid to Young Scholars The program provides grants to meet specific research needs not covered by other supporting funds, including but not limited to special supplies, travel, unanticipated expenses that would enhance the work, and the like. Specifically excluded are general financial support, tuition, and living expenses (except in connection with supported travel). $500 to $3,000 grant to meet specific research needs not covered by other supporting funds (e.g. small items of equipment). Deadline: November. Applicants must be enrolled, on a full-time or part-time basis, in a program leading to a graduate degree (Masters or Doctoral) at one of the local institutions listed below under "Eligible Institutions". Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan Scholarships and fellowships vary by nationality/country. Click the link to view the countries current scholarship offerings. Commonwealth citizens are open to apply. This is intended to fund postgraduate study or doctoral research at Commonwealth Deadlines variable. The Lime Connect Fellowship Program This fellowship program is our flagship program in the U.S. designed for highly accomplished rising juniors with disabilities. This highly selective program: guides Fellows through the summer internship recruitment process; connects them with our corporate partners - some of the world's leading corporations - for potential Summer 2016 internships; deepens their leadership skills; prepares them for success in their internship; builds their confidence as a person with a disability; engages them in a Lime Connect Fellowship community, consisting of current and past Fellows; and provides access to prestigious scholarships. Eligibility: must be a current sophomore at a four-year university in the U.S., and will continue their studies as a full-time student for the following academic year; eligible to work in the United States; a person with a (visible or invisible) disability DAAD Undergraduate Scholarship Highly qualified undergraduate students are invited to apply for scholarships funding study, senior thesis research and/or internships in Germany. The goal of this program is to support study abroad in Germany and at German universities. Preference will be given to students whose projects or programs are based at and organized by a German university. Scholarships are available either as part of an organized study abroad program or as part of an individual, student-designed study abroad semester or year. Applicants must be second or third year students, who will be in their third and fourth year during their stay in Germany. After the scholarship, they must return to the US or Canada to complete their Bachelor s degree. DAAD will support a 4-10 month period in Germany during the German academic year. Davis-Putter Scholarships Need-based grants (up to $6,000) to undergraduate or graduate students who are able to do academic work at the college level, and are actively working for peace and justice. Grantees must receive college credits for the time period covered by their grant. Open to non-us citizens who are attending an accredited university. Deadline: April 1st.

10 Echoing Green Foundation Fellowships Provides seed funding and support to more than 450 social entrepreneurs with bold ideas for social change in order to launch groundbreaking organizations around the world. A stipend of $60,000 for individuals ($90,000 for 2- person partnerships) paid in four equal installments over two years. Must demonstrate sufficient English fluency to participate in interviews and Echoing Green events. The fellowship includes: the Global Fellowship, the Black Male Achievement Fellowship, and the Climate Fellowship. Deadline: sometime in October-November. Edmund S. Muskie Graduate Fellowship Muskie fellows enroll in full-time non-degree or degree programs at IREX s partner universities, enriching graduate classrooms with new international perspectives and valuable professional experience. Fellowships are awarded to young and mid-career individuals who are citizens of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, the Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, or Uzbekistan. Public applications are no longer accepted. Elie Wiesel Prize in Ethics Essay contest for full-time juniors or seniors that is open to full-time undergraduate juniors and seniors at accredited U.S. four-year colleges and universities. International and non-citizen students, as well as students studying abroad are eligible, as long as they are registered as fulltime juniors or seniors at their home institutions in the U.S. Contestants must have a faculty advisor. Prizes range from $500 - $5,000. Deadline: December 9th. Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant for Artists Awards five grants in the amount of $15,000 (Canadian) and subsequent grants of &18,000 each. No age limit but applicants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of submitting the application. Not for those pursuing abstract or nonrepresentational art. Rolling deadline. Environmental Research and Education Foundation Scholarships are awarded by EREF to recognize excellence in master s, doctoral or postdoctoral waste management research and education. Awards to doctoral students are given in memory of Francois Fiessinger, P.E., Ph.D., a graduate of Rutgers University, who was a founding director of the foundation; and by the Environmental Research and Education Foundation. Additional scholarships were made possible by the late Robert P. Stearns, P.E., DEE of SCS Engineers, former Chairman of EREF, Robert J. Riethmiller of PTR Baler and Compactor Company and the Waste Industries Scholarship Honoring Lonnie C. Poole, Jr., an EREF founder and Director Emeritus. Most recently EREF awarded the first Carl J. Apicella Scholarship, made possible by Carl Apicella, President of American Environmental Group, a Tetra Tech Company. Applicants will be this year or are now a full-time master s student, doctoral student or a post-doctoral researcher. Deadline: December

11 Eurasian Undergraduate Exchange Program (UGRAD) Through U.S.-based training and practical experience in leadership, life skills, civic engagement, and internships, youth leaders are empowered to implement long-term civic and economic changes in their communities. The selected students study in a non-degree program for an academic year at an American university or community college. When Global UGRAD students return to finish college in their home countries, they share what they have learned and contribute to the development of their own communities. This is open to students of Eurasia to first-, second-, and third-year undergraduate students from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan. ugrad@irex.org for more information. Youth Activity Fund Grant The Youth Activity Fund Grant supports high school students and college undergraduates. Its goal is to foster a new generation of explorers dedicated to the advancement of the scientific knowledge of our world. Awards range from $500 to $5,000. We recommend keeping your budget realistic. The average award is approximately $1,500. Only a few grants may be awarded at the $5,000 level. Grants are normally given to the following disciplines or topics: Climate Change, Geoscience, Paleoclimate (i.e. Early Earth, Tectonics, Volcanism, Paleontology, Glaciology, Geophysics, Astronomy); Marine Science, Marine Biology, Marine Life, Fish, Coral, Ocean, Fresh Water, Rivers, Lakes, Estuaries; Anthropology/Archeology; Plants and Molds; Animals; and conservation science. There is no explicit mentions of citizenship or eligibility requirements. Finlandia Foundation National Trust Scholarship The Foundation invites high-quality projects on a competitive basis that relate to past, present or future of Finnish and Finnish-American culture and are characterized by MANY of the following: receives favorable attention and has a high profile and visibility; appeals to all Americans, not only ethnic Finns; involves worthy activity for children and young adults to assure an interest in Finnish and Finnish-American culture by future generations; can be replicated or become a permanent addition to the cultural life of a community; has a detailed budget, income and expenses; and adds to the body of research about Finnish and Finnish-American culture. Deadline: January. The Finnish Cultural Foundation The Swedish-Finnish Cultural Foundation seeks to promote and develop cultural and economic life in Finland by providing support for increased knowledge of, and contact between, the culture, economy, and people of the two countries. 12 Ford School Postdoctoral Fellowship Program Through its Fellowship Programs, the Ford Foundation seeks to increase the diversity of the nation s college and university faculties by increasing their ethnic and racial diversity, to maximize the educational benefits of diversity, and to increase the number of professors who can and will use diversity as a resource for enriching the education of all students. Deadline: March 18 Student Action With Farmworkers: Sowing Seeds for Change Fellowship The Sowing Seeds for Change Fellowship is a 6 month leadership development program for college students and recent graduates to improve farmworkers access to healthcare as well as advocate for improved living and working conditions. No mention of U.S. citizenship, however applicants must be college students or recent graduates from U.S. universities.

13 Herbert Scoville Jr. Peace Fellowships For college graduates to serve 6 9 months with a participating organization of their choice in Washington DC while receiving a stipend. Prospective Fellows are expected to demonstrate excellent academic accomplishments and a strong interest in issues of peace and security. Graduate study, a college major, course work, or substantial independent reading that reflects the substantive focus of the fellowship is also a plus. Humane Studies Fellowships For current or prospective full-time graduate students (including law students) interested in the classical liberal/libertarian tradition of individual rights and market economies. Inter American Press Association (IAPA) Scholarship The Inter American Press Association was established in 1942 to defend and promote the right of the peoples of the Americas to be freely informed through an independent press, essential for which is a journalism that is responsible, objective and open to all currents, so as thus to contribute to a better understanding among the peoples of the Western Hemisphere. Applicants must be natives of countries in the Western Hemisphere, journalists or students in the final year of their journalism course, be between 21 and 35 years old, be fluent in the language of the country where they will go to study. Journalism students will have to complete their university studies before the start of the scholarship year. Applicants from the United States and Canada should have documentation from a recognized authority confirming fluency in Spanish, or Portuguese for those going to Brazil. Latin American applicants will have to undergo a TOEFL test (Test of English as a Foreign Language). International Dissertation Research Fellowship (IDRF) The Mellon International Dissertation Research Fellowship (IDRF) offers nine to twelve months of support to graduate students (of any citizenship) in the humanities and humanistic social sciences who are enrolled in PhD programs in the United States and conducting dissertation research on non-us topics. Eighty fellowships are awarded annually. Fellowship amounts vary depending on the research plan, with a per-fellowship average of $20,000. The fellowship includes participation in an SSRC-funded interdisciplinary workshop upon the completion of IDRF-funded research. 19 Mariam K. Chamberlain Fellowship in Women & Public Policy In honor of pioneering feminist economist Mariam K. Chamberlain (MKC), IWPR offers a fellowship in public policy to a promising scholar each year. Eligible candidates should have at least a bachelor's degree in a social science discipline (such as sociology, psychology, education, or public policy), statistics, economics, mathematics or women's studies. There are no citizenship requirements specified, but you must be able to work in the United States. The Mariam K. Chamberlain Fellow contributes to a variety of research projects to inform policies affecting women.
