2 Vernon Bonfield- Washington Health Insurance Agency- Agency Owner Vernon Bonfield has been a licensed insurance agent for over 15 years. As a Health Insurance Specialist, he has helped several Washington residents, business owners, and non-profit organizations find better ways to lower their health insurance costs while improving their HR administration and employee benefits. Over the past decade he has become a resource for local agencies, organizations, and private companies regarding health care policies, reform topics, and health insurance issues. Distinguished as an Expert Author, Vernon has written several articles, participated in discussion panels and speaking engagements related to the vast and complex subject of Health Care and Health Insurance.

3 Ron Bruchet- GHB Insurance- President and Owner Ron Bruchet is the owner and President of GHB Insurance in Olympia, Washington. GHB was founded in 1927, has 17 employees and is the oldest independent insurance agency in Thurston County. The company also has Agents in King, Snohomish, and Grays Harbor counties. GHB provides products and services related to all lines of insurance including commercial, home, auto, life, individual medical, Long Term Care, and employee benefits. The agency provides group coverage for more than 700 employers throughout Western Washington and covers over 8,000 lives. Ron received his Bachelor s Degree from the University of California, at Los Angeles, in He now resides in Olympia, Washington, with his wife and two children. Ron holds a Washington State Agent s License for Life, Disability, Property and Casualty. He also has his Series 7 and Series 66 Securities Licenses.

5 Matthew French- Washington State Dental Association/Washington Dentists Insurance Agency- Director Matthew French is the Director of Insurance Services for Washington Dentists Insurance Agency (WDIA) which is a for-profit arm of the Washington State Dental Association (WSDA). The dental association represents approximately 4,000 dentists across Washington State and WDIA has over 3,500 clients for multiple lines of insurance. Mr. French currently brokers the health insurance for over 350 dental offices in the state as well as hundreds of clients on individual medical and Medicare supplements. Mr. French has been selling group and individual medical insurance for over five years. He meets directly with dentists and their staff to discuss their medical insurance needs and what they can except in the medical market. Mr. French is also a regular exhibitor at component dental society conferences and speaks to component dental society meetings on various insurance-related subjects including medical insurance. Mr. French received a BA in Communication from Western Washington University with a concentration in Public/Interpersonal and Organizational Communication.

9 Lonnie Goodell- Group Health Cooperative- Director of Small Business Group and Producer Relations Lonnie Goodell serves as the Sales Director of both the Small Business Group and Producer (Broker/Agent) Relations at Group Health Cooperative. Group Health Cooperative is a consumer governed, not for profit integrated care and coverage organization. Mr. Goodell leads the Small Business Group team, which oversees the day to day sales and account management operations for over 3400 employer groups. He also leads the Producer Relations team which oversees the licensing and appointment processes, the commission processes, as well as business and relationship management of over 2400 Washington state producers and over 800 out of state producers. Mr. Goodell has been with Group Health for over seventeen years. In 2009 he was awarded the Eileen J. O Donnell award for his extraordinary leadership at Group Health. Prior to his career at Group Health, he was the Business Operations Manager of a small business employer for eighteen years. Mr. Goodell resides in Lakewood and is a member of the Washington Association of Health Underwriters, as well as its national organization, National Association of Health Underwriters. Mr. Goodell provided market insight and advised the Washington State Health Insurance Partnership Technical Advisory Committee during the development and implementation of the exchange pilot program for small businesses with low wage workers. He also engaged and successfully sold the Health Insurance Partnership exchange products to a number of small employer groups.

10 Dave Guyll- Conover Insurance- VP Employee Benefits Dave Guyll is a graduate of the University of Idaho and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Dave has over 25 years of experience in the employee benefits industry. He has worked for Blue Cross of Washington and Alaska, now part of Premera Blue Cross and was Director of the Timber Products Manufacturer s Trust before starting with Conover Insurance in Dave earned the Registered Health Underwriter designation from Northeastern University. Dave s simple goal of making employee benefits affordable and easy to understand has served him well over the years. While managing the Timber Association s medical plan, he was able to reduce administration costs from 13% to 7%. His focus now is on providing cost effective plans for mediumsized groups. His insurance expertise includes managing PPO, HMO and indemnity health plans as well as group medical, dental, vision, life and disability plans. Since joining Conover Insurance, Dave has been awarded Conover Insurance s title of Producer of the Year in 1999, 2004, 2005 and He was Employee Benefits Producer of the Year in 2002, 2003, and from 2006 through Dave is a licensed producer of life and disability and is a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters and local chapter of Society of Human Resource Management. He is on the Board of Directors for the Central Washington Association of Health Underwriters, and has also served on Agent Advisory Boards for Premera Blue Cross, United Health Care and Kansas City Life.

12 Bryan Marsh- Regence BlueShield- Sales Manager Bryan Marsh currently works at Regence BlueShield as the sales manager responsible for new and renewing groups in the association and affinity program lines of business. His responsibility includes account management of over 125,000 members covered in Washington State. Bryan has been employed in healthcare employee benefits for over 10 years and has held key sales positions on the carrier side working closely with agents and brokers to place new business as well as renew existing business in the small, mid and large group segments. Bryan has also served as a wholesale producer with a national employee benefits working closely with employers to secure benefits that meet their needs. Bryan s experience gives him a unique perspective in the distribution model of employee benefits at both the retail and wholesale level. He is an alumni of University of Washington with a degree in business and holds life and disability producer licenses.

I would like to be considered for the Technical Advisory Committee specifically the Navigator program or Role of Agent/Broker. I am a lifelong resident of Washington State. I earned my business degree at Western Washington University in I am the founder and president of LifePlan Financial, Inc. located in Stanwood. I am a financial advisor and have brokered health insurance for 13 years, specializing in both individual and group health insurance plans. My firm currently assists residents with WSHIP and formerly the HIP. I am in regular contact with my local legislators, working to offer my professional perspective on issues regarding health insurance. My expertise concerning health plans in Washington, coupled with my experience and perceptions as a financial advisor, uniquely qualifies me to serve as a valuable member of a TAC.
