4 Program Support We provide the training, consultations, financial support, and employee resources you need to develop a program that gets results. Training Onsite Training AWC wellness staff visit worksites to provide health promotion training for committees, managers, and elected officials. 25th Annual Employee Health Academy The Academy connects city leaders, wellness staff, and national experts for training, networking, and program planning. The 2010 Academy is in Richland, May th Annual Healthy Worksite Summit Training and networking for wellness, benefits, and safety leaders from public and private organizations. The 2010 Summit is October in Bellevue and October 14 in Spokane. Wellness Leadership Forums Regional meetings in February and March offer training and networking to help cities earn the 2011 WellCity Award and 2% premium discount. Wellness Leadership Webinar Series Monthly webinars provide convenient health promotion training for committees, managers, and elected officials. Certificate of Wellness Leadership Certificate program in workplace health promotion offers training, support, and recognition for wellness team members and city leaders. Program Planning Planning Consultations AWC wellness staff visit worksites, meet with you personally at training events, and provide guidance by phone and . Wellness Planner Our comprehensive manual guides wellness leaders through the design, delivery, and evaluation of a workplace health promotion program. HQ Management Report Based on results of the annual Health Questionnaire (HQ), this report provides essential data for focusing wellness efforts on identified health risks. Wellness Works News A quarterly newsletter delivers current information about health promotion research, best practices and AWC s Wellness Works program. Coordinator Communiqué Our monthly update keeps wellness committees current on trainings, programs, campaigns, grants, and news. Wellness Campaigns We provide everything coordinators need to run two annual health promotion campaigns at their workplaces. We even provide funds for incentives to encourage participation. Healthy Decisions These brief training modules teach employees how to use health care resources wisely. Lending Library Check out current videos, models, and program kits to provide health education during meetings, lunch & learns, and other gatherings.
5 For Your Employees We provide these services and tools directly to your EBT insured employees and spouses to reduce health risks and maintain good health. Online Tools MyWellnessWorks.org Each EBT insured individual gets a personal, secure website from WebMD that s customized to meet unique health needs and interests. The site includes a health record, behavior change programs, and a suite of interactive tools. Financial Support WellCity Rewards EBT members whose 2010 wellness programs qualify for the 2011 WellCity Award earn a 2% premium discount on Regence BlueShield / Asuris Northwest Health employee and spouse premiums in Employee Participation Rewards Employees and spouses with Regence BlueShield / Asuris Northwest Health can earn $100 for completing the annual Health Questionnaire and additional activities. Those with Group Health coverage earn $35 for completing the HQ. Grant Programs Three different grant programs fund activities that target identified health risks. Twenty five years ago the Association of Washington Cities became one of the first municipal leagues in the nation to offer workplace health promotion services. Since then the AWC Employee Benefit Trust s Wellness Works program has grown from a small project to a comprehensive population health management program.
