He subsequently served as the Director of the New Mexico Institute of Neuroimaging and Professor of Radiology, Associate Professor of Neurology, and Chief of the Division of Neuroradiology at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine and the New Mexico Regional Federal Medical Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. His primary focus as a clinician and researcher has been the development of advanced neuroimaging technologies as well as special interests in trauma imaging and radiation safety. Dr. Orrison is the author of more than 140 peer reviewed medical publications, six textbooks with translations in three languages as well as numerous book chapters and reviews. He holds radiology-related patents in three countries, and has several patents pending. He serves as a national consultant on radiology quality, and is a reviewer for multiple medical journals including the American Journal of Neuroradiology, Radiology, and the American Journal of Roentgenology. Dr. Orrison is the recipient of a Smithsonian Medal for research in advanced medical imaging, and he has given over 300 invited presentations, nationally and internationally. Amaar Malik, D.O. Dr.Amaar Malik is a board-certified radiologist specializing in advanced Musculoskeletal Imaging at Nevada Imaging Centers, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is a graduate of the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He then completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Michigan State University/Botsford General Hospital where he became Chief Resident. Following his residency, he finished a fellowship in Musculoskeletal Imaging at the University of California, San Diego. During this time, he served as a Staff Radiologist for Scripps Clinic at Scripps Green Hospital, La Jolla, CA. Dr. Malik is the author of several peer reviewed medical publications and serves as Adjunct Associate Professor in Radiology at Touro University Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine where he teaches courses in Radiology. He is regularly invited to give presentations nationally. Dr. Malik is fluent in Urdu and Spanish. Eric H. Hanson, M.D., M.P.H., F.A.C.P.M. Dr. Eric Hanson is dual board-certified in Preventive and Aerospace Medicine and was awarded a masters degree in public health with a focus on genetic epidemiology from Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Hanson s expertise includes 14 years of clinical practice and the clinical use of genetic testing and use of microarrays for risk assessment and disease management. Dr. Hanson was the lead editor on the Complete History and Physical Exam Guide and lead author for a Human Genetic Epidemiology Network review (HuGENet Review) on the HFE1 Gene and Hereditary Hemochromatosis for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He has also published many other books and peer-reviewed scientific articles. His most recent publications include articles in Genome Research, Genes and Immunity and Journal of Immunological Methods. In addition to his extensive clinical experience, he was recently Division Chief of Science & Technology and Chief of Operational Biotechnology and Genomics at the United States Air Force Surgeon General s Office. During this assignment, he served on the Executive Committee and was a co-pi of the Epidemic Outbreak Surveillance (EOS) program. Along with Dr. Robb Rowley, Dr. Hanson originated this unique systems of systems integration approach and was instrumental in producing highly multiplexed microarrays for rapidly diagnosing infectious diseases and biowarfare agents (59 pathogens and 193 serotype, strain, and strain variants with forensic sequence information in twelve hours). Dr. Hanson s unparalleled achievements were briefed to the White House Homeland Security Council and the Office of the Vice President. Dr. Hanson is an Associate Professor at Touro University in Las Vegas, Nevada. 2
