1 The National Youth Division s 2012 Graduating High School Seniors
2 Mid-Atlantic District Caree S. Dodson Chester Youth Club Caree S. Dodson was born January 3 rd in Chester, PA. She is the daughter of Patricia Ann Brown and John Dodson and granddaughter of Harvey and Carrie E. Brown. Caree is a 2012 graduate of Archbishop Prendergast High School in Drexel Hill, PA. She attended elementary and middle school at St. Katherine Drexel School, which is now Drexel Neumann Academy in Chester, PA. Caree is a member of the Chester Youth Club of the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women s Clubs, Inc. She is currently serving in the office as treasurer and previously held the office of Youth President. Her other school, shurch, and community activities included Panda Pride, Mock trial, Altar Server and Community Service Corps. Caree attained her Black Belt in Karate at the age of 12. Caree is a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish. Caree found out early that life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get. She has faced several challenges and roadblocks, but is determined and focused on putting all her energy into achieving her goal to become a Criminal Lawyer. Caree will be attending Delaware County Community College in the fall. She appreciaates the overwhelming guidance, support and blessings she has received from her family, church and school administrators.
3 Mid-Atlantic District Cameron Bell Newport News Youth Club Cameron Bell, the daughter of Kenneth and Crystal Bell, is graduating from Woodside High School. She was a member of the Debate Team, Track & Field and Cross Country Teams, Project Inclusion, Mayor's Youth Commission, Student Advisory Group on Education, and National Honor Society. She served as a member of the Youth Choir, Girl Scouts, Youth Ambassadors, and faithfully attended Sunday School. Cameron is a 4-year member of the Newport News Youth Club. She was recognized as the Mayor's Youth Citizen of the Year, an AP Scholar with Distinction, and received the Virginia Educators Credit Union Scholarship. Cameron plans to attend Princeton University to study Politics. Her favorite scripture is Luke 12:48 because it reminds her that God continuously blesses her and has equipped her with the strength, wisdom, and ability to do everything He has called her to do.
4 Mid-Atlantic District Danielle Staten-Ferrell Newport News Youth Club Danielle Staten-Ferrell, the daughter of Francine Staten and Harold Ferrell, is graduating from Woodside High School. She was a member of the Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Teams, National Honor Society, and the Newport News Advisory Board. She served as a member of the Youth Choir, Youth Ambassadors, and faithfully attended Sunday School. She has received the National Association for Negro Business and Professional Women's Club, Inc., and Merit Scholarships. She has been a youth member for four years. Danielle plans to attend the College of William & Mary and major in Psychology. Her favorite scripture is Philippians 4:13 because it reminds her that she can accomplish anything with the help of the Lord.
5 Mid-Atlantic District Bianca Symone Cherry Newport News Youth Club Bianca Symone' Cherry graduated from Woodside High School June 10, 2012 of Newport News, Va. She was involved in many activities such as National Honor Society, Girl Scouts, Downing-Gross Cultural Arts Center internship, Upward Bound, National Art Honor Society, and and has been a member of the Newport News Youth Club for the past four years. Ms. Cherry is currently employed at American Legion Post 368. She plans to attend Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia with a major in graphic design.
6 Northeast District AJEÉ WILSON Central Jersey Youth Club Ajee Wilson graduated Allied Health and Science High School. She has been a youth member for 6 years and has served as Chaplain, Treasurer, Vice President. Character Committee, B.I.G., Project N.O.V.A. which is a Big Brother and Sister program that partners with Neptune Middle School students. A member of the Neptune High School Track Team. Ajee will attend Florida State University majoring in Exercise Science to become a physical therapist.
7 Northeast District TIARA ANDERSON Central Jersey Youth Club Tiara Anderson graduated Neptune High School. She has been a youth member for 3 years and has served as President and First Vice President. Tiara plans to attend Kean University majoring in Secondary Education with a Psychology minor.
8 Northeast District August Clark Central Jersey Youth Club August Clark graduated Red Bank Catholic High School. She has been a youth member for 3 years and has served Second Vice President, Corresponding Secretary, and Recording Secretary. August will attend St. John s University majoring in Forensic Science.
9 Northeast District Thalia Mangan New Haven Youth Youth Club Thalia Mangan graduated Hamden High School in Hamden, CT. She is attending the University of Connecticut majoring in International Business. Thalia is President of the New Haven Youth Club.
10 Northeast District Anisha Lewis New Haven Youth Club Anisha Lewis New Haven Youth Club Recording Secretary. She graduated Hamden High School in Hamden, CT. She will be attending Brown University majoring in Biology - Pathologist
11 Northeast District Terryann Barrett New Haven Youth Club Terryann Barrett graduated Hill Regional Career High School in New Haven, CT. She will be attending Gateway Community College majoring in Nursing.
12 Northeast District Kimani Sioux Williams New Haven Youth Club Kimani Sioux Williams graduated Hopkins School in New Haven, CT. She is the New Haven Youth Club s First Vice-President. Kimani will attend the University of Mary Washington studying psychology, sociology, and education.
13 Northeast District Alissa Ferguson New Haven Youth Club Alissa Ferguson graduated Cooperative Arts and Humanities High School in New Haven, CT. She is the New Haven Youth Club s Treasurer. Alissa will attend North Carolina A&T State University majoring in Child Development and plans to become a Child Psychologist.
14 North Central District DeAndra Paige Ann Arbor Youth Club DeAndra Paige plans to attend Eastern Michigan University. Where my major will be nursing. I hope to become a neonatal nurse after I graduate from nursing school.
15 North Central District Sidney E. Petty Toledo Youth Club Sidney E. Petty graduated from Central Catholic High School on May 20, Sydney won first place in the Oratorical Contest at the North Central District Conference in Toledo, OH. She will be attending the University of Toledo on academic scholarships which also includes room and board.
16 North Central District Opal Dunlap Toledo Youth Club Opal Dunlap graduated from E.L. Bowsher High School on June 6, Opal is an entreprenuer who owns a theatrical business and talent management company entitled, L'apo Theatrical Productions. She has written and produced two plays that were performed at the Collingwood Arts Center in Toledo, Ohio. Opal has been the President of the Toledo Youth Club for the past two years. She will be attending the University of Toledo.
17 North Central District Tyler Applewhite Ann Arbor Youth Club Tyler Applewhite graduated from Northpointe Christian High School, played football and ran track. He will be attending Grand Rapids Community College studying Math and Art.
18 South Central District Tequila Nickole Cooks Dallas Metropolitan Youth Club Tequila Nickole Cooks is a graduate of Skyline High School in Dallas, Texas. She was also a three year member of the Dallas Metropolitan Youth club where she served faithfully as the club s secretary. Tequila has been recognized by InterCity Friends, Inc. as a scholar in route to success. At Eastfield College she is listed as an outstanding student of the year because of her A/B honor roll status in school. She was also a three year member of the Dallas Metropolitan Youth club where she served faithfully as the club s secretary. 19 South Central District Daniel Gibson Garland Youth Club Daniel Gibson is the son of Mrs. Juanita Gibson of Richardson Texas. He is graduate of Richardson High School where he was involved in activities such as Upward Bound, Computer Club, and Interact. In his spare time he likes to chill with his friends and have a good time. Daniel also is an usher at Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, where he has been a member for 17 years. He is historian of the Garland Youth Club where he has been a member for 2 years. Daniel plans to attend Texas A&M Commerce and Major in Computer Science.
20 South Central District Jasmine Johnson Southeast Dallas Youth Club Jasmine Johnson graduated on January 28, 2012 from the Dallas Can Academy, Jasmine completed her high school requirements a semester early. With family, friends and members of the Southeast Dallas BPW Club looking on she proudly walked across the stage and received her diploma. A band student for three years at Maynard Jackson Middle School, Jasmine played the flute and was a student of the violin for two years. She aspires to become a registered nurse. Initially, Jasmine hopes to enroll in Bah Career Training Academy in Garland with the goal of enrolling in El Centro s Nursing Program. Since becoming a member of the Southeast Dallas Youth Club, Jasmine has served as youth club secretary, Vice President, and President.
21 South Central District Amber Lynette Mays Dallas Metropolitan Youth Club Amber Lynette Mays is a graduate of South Grand Prairie High School. She was an avid runner for the warriors track team, sang soprano in the school choir, and was an expert sign interpreter. At Leath Street Missionary Baptist Church, where the Rev. Paul Brown is the pastors, she sings in the choir and also plays the drums. Amber is a fourth year member of the Dallas Metropolitan club and has received numerous awards from InterCity Friends, Inc. for her continuous successful journey in education. Amber plans to attend the University of North Texas majoring in sign interpretation.
22 South Central District Ashley K. Webb North Texas League Youth Club Ashley K. Webb, a top ranked senior at David W. Carter High School, is the current president of the North Texas League Youth Club. She has been an active member of the NANBPWC, Inc. since the age of 12. She has served in several leadership roles including former South Central District Youth Secretary, North Texas League Youth Secretary, and Vice President. Ashley graduated in May 2012, from David W. Carter High School with high honors and plans to major in International Business in college.
23 Southeast District Taylor Elder Greater Atlanta Youth Club Taylor Elder is a graduate of Westlake High School in Atlanta, Georgia. She plans to attend Georgia Perimeter College in the fall.
24 Southeast District Aisha A. Davis Central Alabama Youth Club Aisha Davis is a 2012 graduate of Benjamin Russell High School, Alexander City, AL. She is the club s Recording Secretary This fall she will attend the Central Alabama Community College in her home town for two years and transferring to the University of Birmingham in Birmingham AL.
25 Southeast District Kimberlin Steele Central Alabama Youth Club Kimberlin Steele is a 2012 graduate of Benjamin Russell High School. She is a resident of Alexander City, Alabama. Kimberlin s college of choice is the University of Birmington at Birmingham, AL, which she plans to attend in this fall.
