9 DENTAL RATIO 9 OKTAGON IMPLANT SYSTEM Our OKTAGON implant system employs proven implantological concepts from daily practice and combines simplicity with versatility. The OKTAGON implant system consists of grade 4, pure titanium and is available in TISSUE LEVEL and BONE LEVEL versions. Tissue Level implants are connected to the prosthetic restoration via an 8 inner cone with additional octagonal rotation stop. GENERAL Bone Level implants are connected via a 15 inner cone and internal grooves whereby an octagonal geometry of the abutment secures the prosthetic components in position. * Data on File REM (x 5000) endosteal surface sand-blasted and acid etched The macro-roughness exhibits a roughness profi le of 20 to 40 µm with micro-roughness of 2.0 to 4.0 µm. The surfaces in the endosteal section are sandblasted with corundum (> 99% Al 2 O 3 = aluminium oxide) and acid-etched.

As their mechanical strength is lower than that of the 4.1 mm Ø implants, these implants should only be used for the following indications: EDENTULOUS JAW 4 Implants Ø 3.3 mm RP in combination with a bar. PARTIALLY DENTATE JAW Fixed restorations on 4.1 mm Ø implants should be splinted with a superstructure. 13 DENTAL RATIO 13 TAPERED DESIGN (TD) IMMEDIATE AND EARLY IMPLANTATION Thanks to its geometry, the Tapered Design Implant combines the specifi c advantages of cylindrical and conical implants. The coronal section of this implant has a 1.8 mm high smooth surface and, due to its geometry, respects both the biological width as well as an extended range of indications. Depending on the surgical evaluation, this type of implant can be placed transgingivally, semigingivally or subgingivally thus providing for fl exible soft tissue management. INDICATION Mostly for immediate (same day as extraction) and early implantation (6-8 weeks post extraction).
