2 So, you re ready to start Marketing What Sections should you include in your Main Newsletter Template? This ebook will help you learn the common sections to include in an marketing broadcast or newsletter template. This is the information your regular subscribers and readers will see. The information they will look forward to reading every issue whether weekly, bi, weekly, monthly or quarterly. Having a set template actually helps you become more consistent in your newsletter delivery. Preparing the articles and content is a lot easier and less stressful if you have defined sections this will give you a guideline as to what to prepare for the issue, making it easier to write and gather the information. This report will help you pick and choose what sections to include in your newsletter so you can create a template. Your template will make it easier to plan as well as prepare your newsletter issues. Review the suggested areas and mark off the ones you think will be helpful to your readers and that will also help you promote your business and services. Some are standard areas that will not change and others will have new content every time. Don t be shy about changing it up either once you get going if you come up with another area people will enjoy or even ask for try adding it. It s always good to experiment -- and if you are checking your reports, you will be able to see how many people open and look at your newsletter as well as what they are clicking on within the content. Always be open to review and evaluation. Good luck in putting together your newsletter template and more importantly have a successful launch of your inaugural issue.
3 Choosing the Sections for your Newsletter Template 1) Introduction or Personal Note This note allows people to get to know you better sometimes you may include a personal story. It also works well to introduce the topic of your feature article. 2) Feature Article This should be your main teaching topic in the issue. It works best if the article also supports an ongoing marketing campaign, product launch or event. You can also simply have a series of articles over several issues. This keeps people wanting to read and learn more. 3) Tip or Training piece An easy way to fill in an article area and add more value is to have a Tip area a place where you can share in 4-5 sentences or less an easy-to-learn idea. Again, this is great if it supports the feature article teaching point. 4) Quote Sharing an inspirational quote also adds meat to your newsletter without taking hours to read. Use quotes of your own OR from industry leaders and role models. These can be text only or within an image. 5) Recommends A Kathy Recommends area is a great way to promote your own products OR affiliate products (Make certain you have the required by federal law disclaimer in your newsletter about affiliate links). You can use this area to highlight your own books/products or even to recommend another class or person for a particular service. Don t use competitors complementary offerings work better. 6) Client Testimonials This is social proof about you and is a great way to have the words of others speak for you in your newsletter.
4 7) Events An events area is where you can showcase places you are speaking or participating. It is surprising how you can gain clients by adding an area like this. You never know what will provoke someone to click or ask a question. Sharing with them ALL of your news and events gives them the knowledge so if they wish, they can ask more from you. It s also a way to sell your own programs/events without a big sales pitch. 8) About You Adding in a section that gives a small bi o of you is a must for newsletters. You want people to know who this came from. Like the recommends/events section, this may prompt people to ask more questions of you because it has information they may not necessarily know. You should also add links to connect with you online your website and social media profiles are a must. 9) Call to Action or Sharing You always want to have an option for people to Like, Share on Facebook, Tweet or Share on other social networks your information. Take advantage of the opportunity to have others market you! Add social sharing tools in the newsletter. Also add an area where people can easily forward the newsletter to friends most marketing systems have this. Better yet, I like to make a link that sends them to my signup page where the friend can enter their name and address and get the free report too. 10) Header - Branding You always want a recognizable design aspect to your newsletter whether it is a header or logo or a special design item for your newsletter. Make this a standard so people get to know your brand and you.

Being consistent in writing articles and content as well as in how often you send your s will help you see more success from your marketing.
