Currently I specialize in software development for ios but have experience and interest in developing for the Macintosh as well as the Web, primarily using Ruby on Rails. I consider myself a life-long learner and am currently experimenting with lots of new technologies including Swift, Go and Ember. In college after spending a year studying Computer Science I changed my major to Interactive Digital Media which is an art degree that covers things such as: design, typography, photography, video production, web design, and moreover storytelling. I feel this academic background along with my continuous efforts to improve my programming background has led to a productive and well rounded skill set. ios Developer, Project Tech Lead Tonic Design (formerly DmgCtrl) October 2013 Present Accountable for the performance and deliverable commitments of my team; designed code architectures for client projects; broke down app components into actionable tasks for sprint planning; and managed a peer-to-peer code review workflow to guarantee high code quality. Outside of projects I was also responsible for mentoring junior-level developers and maintaining internal continuous integration services for testing and deployment. Mac, ios and Web Developer, Consultant and Entrepreneur Clickable Bliss December October 2013 Clickable Bliss was the company face for my consulting and product development. As a consultant I would help companies from various backgrounds bring their projects to life primarily using Ruby on Rails and later using Cocoa on ios. Apart from my clients, I also developed products. First on the Macintosh and then later on the iphone. I was a solo developer and limited my outsourcing to icons and artwork. My responsibilities included UX design, programming, testing, marketing, sales, accounting and customer service.

2 Co-founder, Project Manager, Rails Developer Shindig Events Inc. October April 2013 Shindig was a platform to help conference planners easily produce mobile apps for ios, Android and the Web. As a co-founder I helped run many aspects of the company but was specifically responsible for overseeing the product development for each of our major platform offerings as well as being the lead developer for our web administration application built with Ruby on Rails. At the end of its lifespan, I also took on the CEO and accounting duties to shut down the company and meet all our financial responsibilities. I joined the development team in November 2013 and helped focus the group as we worked towards a tight launch deadline of New Years Day. Primarily responsible for the design and implementation of the internal Workout Manager / Workout Phase architecture. In the spring of 2014, helped add new workouts and audio ducking features. In summer of 2014, helped prepare the application for ios 8 as well as some HealthKit integration. Notable Technologies Used. Core Data, Kiwi (for testing), CocoaPods, GoogleAnalytics, CocoaLumberJack, TestFlight, Custom View Containment, Auto Layout, Core Animation, HealthKit, AVFoundation. Reception. One of the top 7 Minute Workout app in the App Store. Has been featured by Apple, not only in the App Store but through TV commercials. Average user rating is 4.5 stars.

4 ProfitTrain About. ProfitTrain (formerly known as Billable) is a time tracking and invoicing app for Mac OS X. It allows user to edit the invoice styles using a simple HTML-based template system, sync their client list with the system Contacts app, track expenses, and much more. My Relationship. I was the sole developer of ProfitTrain and learned a lot about product development during that time. I wrote the help book and handled customer support. Once it was released I updated it to match customer requests and handle things new to me such as unique tax laws that vary country to county. Notable Technologies Used. Core Data, SQLite, AppleScript, NSDecimalNumber, WebKit, SenTestingKit, MGTemplateEngine, kqueue, Sparkle, RBSplitView. Reception. For those who were seeking something simple, ProfitTrain was a great match for users. ProfitTrain was featured on many Mac websites, including Apple s old web listings. In 2012 after committing myself to my new startup Shindig I ended up selling ProfitTrain to RazonAnt Software who continues to sell and update it.

5 Shindig About. Shindig was a platform to help conference planners easily produce mobile apps for their attendees. These apps helps attendees browse the event schedule, vendor lists, maps, speakers, sessions and more. The apps were native apps built specifically for each platform covering ios, Android and the Web. To distribute the event data we had a web application for event admins and an API that each client would use to sync. My Relationship. As a co-founder of the company I had many responsibilities but specifically as product manager I was responsible for overseeing the development of each major component: scheduling sprints, working with contractors, implementing unit testing and code review practices to improve code quality. As lead Rails developer for our web admin I help build and document the tools our customers would use to edit and maintain their data. In particular I am proud of the theming schemas and documentation we developed to help people customize the app s look and feel. Notable Technologies Used. ios (RESTKit, Core Data), Android (Robolectric), Web (Bootstrap), API (Ruby, Sinatra, Redis, MySQL) Manager (Ruby on Rails, Bootstrap, RSpec, cancan, paperclip, New Relic). Reception. While customer satisfaction of our product was very high ultimately the company failed. We were a bootstrapped company and could not fund the dedicated sales force we needed to survive. Although a business failure, I am extremely proud of the things I learned while working on Shindig.
