6 Conference Coordinators continued David Lawrence Founder and Chief Collaborative Officer, RANE; former Associate General Counsel and Managing Director, Goldman Sachs David Lawrence is the Founder and Chief Collaborative Officer of RANE. He previously served for approximately 20 years as Associate General Counsel and Managing Director at Goldman Sachs. During his tenure, David formed and was the global head of the Business Intelligence Group. His role covered a wide range of legal, regulatory, diligence and transactional responsibilities for the firm, as well as advising Goldman s clients directly. David served on a number of the firm s global riskmanagement and investment committees, including its Commitments and Capital Committees. During his tenure, David worked with his industry counterparts to lead in the development of Wall Street s first design and implementation of controls and technology to safeguard against money laundering, illicit finance, terrorism financing, foreign corrupt practices and violations of economic sanctions. In 2014, David received the FBI Director s Award for his efforts in combating international terrorism. Over the years, David and Goldman Sachs were jointly awarded over 20 risk management patents. While at Goldman Sachs, he helped create and lead the firm s formation of Regulatory Data Corp (RDC), in which 20 of the leading global banks invested. RDC ( provides data, technology and risk management solutions to the private sector in wide ranging areas including: anti-money laundering, fraud, corruption and illicit finance, as well as other enterprise risk-relevant fields. In 2007, Bain Capital Ventures became the lead investor in RDC. Until 2014, David served as a member of the company s board. Prior to working at Goldman Sachs, David served for 10 years as an Assistant US Attorney in the Southern District of New York. During this tenure, he served as the Deputy Chief of the Criminal Division and Chief of the Public Corruption and General Crimes Units. David serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for the John Jay College of Criminal Justice Foundation (City University of New York). David received a B.A. from Brandeis University in Urban Studies, Magna Cum Laude with Highest Honors. He attended the University of Texas School of Law and received his J.D. from New York University School of Law. Mukul Pandya Executive Director/Editor-in-Chief, Knowledge@Wharton Mukul Pandya is the editor-in-chief and executive director of Knowledge@ Wharton Network, a portfolio of web-based journals of research and business analysis published by the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is a Senior Fellow in the Wharton School s Management Department. Launched in May 1999 to distribute Wharton s research in a user-friendly format and style to a global business audience, Knowledge@Wharton has more than 3 million users in 200 countries. He holds a master s degree in economics from the University of Bombay. Mr. Pandya is the author of three books. Most recently he and Robbie Shell co-wrote Lasting Leadership: Lessons from the 25 Most Influential Businesspeople of Our Times, which was published in October 2004 (Wharton School Publishing). In November 2002 he co-authored Knowledge@Wharton on Building Corporate Value with Robert E. Mittelstaedt, Jr., Harbir Singh and Eric Clemons (John Wiley & Sons, New York). His first book, published in 2001, is the biography of Kevork Hovnanian, founder of K. Hovnanian Enterprises, one of the largest homebuilders in the U.S. Mr. Pandya lives in Lawrenceville, N.J., with his wife and daughter. 8 9

7 Moderators Timothy P. Murphy Vice President, MacAndrews & Forbes; former Deputy Director, Federal Bureau of Investigation Timothy P. Murphy is Vice President at MacAndrews & Forbes Incorporated ( M&F ), a private, diversified holding company. Prior to joining M&F, Mr. Murphy was the Deputy Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation ( FBI ). Mr. Murphy spent 23 years in the FBI. He held a number of operational positions in the FBI in a variety of field offices nationwide, investigating matters as diverse as counterterrorism, cyber and organized crime. He also served as an FBI pilot. Mr. Murphy served in various management roles, to include serving as a Special Assistant to the FBI Director a position that gave him a unique, high-altitude view of the Global FBI from both operational and administrative perspectives. He served as the Special Agent in Charge of the Cincinnati Field Office, as the Bureau s Chief Financial Officer and then the Associate Deputy Director before becoming the Deputy Director in In his last two FBI positions, Mr. Murphy oversaw the operational and administration aspects of a workforce that was more than 35,000 strong, spread throughout 56 national offices and more than 60 international offices. This included all operational aspects of the Counterterrorism, Counterintelligence, Criminal, Cyber and Intelligence Programs, as well as human resources, training, strategy management, facilities management, records management, security, financial management, information technology, inspection, internal audit and leadership development. Mr. Murphy maintains close ties to the law enforcement and intelligence communities and is frequently consulted for his expertise in global cyber, counterterrorism, criminal and security issues. He is a guest lecturer at colleges and universities on these issues. He is frequently called on to speak on these topics in the media. He is member of the Police Executive Research Forum, the International Association of Chiefs of Police, the Department of State Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC), New York OSAC Executive Committee, Chairman of the FBI/DHS Domestic Security Alliance Council Committee for Strategy, Cyber, Outreach, the FBI Agents Association, the FBI National Academy Associates and the International Security Management Association where he sits on the membership committee. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of a cyber-security company and on the Board of Directors for a data analytics company. Frances Townsend Former Homeland and Counterterrorism Advisor; CNN Analyst; Executive Vice President, MacAndrews & Forbes Frances Fragos Townsend is an Executive Vice President for Worldwide Government, Legal and Business Affairs at MacAndrews and Forbes Incorporated. She works across MacAndrew s portfolio companies focusing on international, legal, compliance and business development issues. Prior to that she was a corporate partner with the law firm of Baker Botts, LLP. From 2004 to 2008, Ms. Townsend served as Assistant to President George W. Bush for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism and chaired the Homeland Security Council. She also served as Deputy National Security Advisor for Combatting Terrorism from May 2003 to May Ms. Townsend spent 13 years at the U.S. Department of Justice under the administrations of President George H. W. Bush, President Bill Clinton and President George W. Bush. She has received numerous awards for her public service accomplishments. Ms. Townsend is a Director on the board of three public companies (NYSE: FCX, NYSE: WU, NASDAQ: SGMS) where she serves on: compliance, compensation and governance committees. She also serves on three private company boards where she chairs all three compensation committees and is the Chairwoman of one Board. Ms. Townsend also serves on several government advisory and nonprofit boards. Ms. Townsend is a trustee on the board of the New York City Police Foundation and the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum. She is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Trilateral Commission. Ms. Townsend is an on air Analyst for CNN and has regularly appeared on network and cable television as a foreign policy, counterterrorism, national and homeland security expert

8 Moderators continued Speakers Michael M. Wiseman Partner, Sullivan & Cromwell LLP Michael Wiseman represents domestic and international commercial banks, investment banks and insurance companies. His practice encompasses regulatory and enforcement issues, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, new products initiatives, derivative products, payment system issues, consumer financial products, cybersecurity, and corporate governance and counseling. Mr. Wiseman has a long history of advising global financial institutions on their largest transactional and their most sensitive regulatory matters. During the Financial Crisis, among other engagements, Mr. Wiseman advised AIG in connection with the $85 billion emergency financing plan with the Federal Reserve and subsequent $30 billion equity capital commitment facility. He then represented AIG in its capital restructuring and public offerings in connection with its exit from government ownership. He was recognized by The American Lawyer as a Dealmaker of the Year for his work on AIG. He also represented Goldman Sachs in its conversion to a bank holding company and UBS on a variety of matters, including obtaining SWF investments during the Financial Crisis. Mr. Wiseman has also advised UBS on a variety of matters including enforcement, restructuring, acquisition, corporate governance and capital raising matters. He recently represented UBS in connection with its creation of a new top tier holding company. His enforcement practice has included representations of Bank of New York Mellon, Standard Chartered, Lloyds Bank PLC, Deutsche Bank, AIG, Moodys, Goldman Sachs, UBS, SEB and, recently, BNP Paribas in connection with the resolution of its recent sanctions matter. His mergers and acquisitions experience includes acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures representing, among others, AIG, Bank of New York Mellon, U.S. Trust, UBS, Barclays, Dresdner Bank and SEB. His payment system representations include The Clearing House Association and CHIPS, as well as the creation of CLS. His trade association representations include The Clearing House Association, BAFT- IFSA and SIFMA. Christopher Ahlberg CEO, Recorded Future, Inc. Dr. Christopher Ahlberg is the CEO of Recorded Future, Inc. and Chairman of Hult International Business School. He advises a series of start up companies. Earlier Ahlberg was the president of the Spotfire Division of TIBCO, which he founded in 1996 and in 2007 sold to TIBCO (Nasdaq: TIBX) for $195M. Spotfire was founded based on his ground-breaking research on information visualization. Dr. Ahlberg earned his doctorate from Chalmers University of Technology, worked as a visiting researcher at the University of Maryland, and has lectured and consulted extensively for industry, academia, military, and intelligence communities as well as published & lectured in computer science, cyber security, psychology, linguistics, biology, and chemistry. He has five granted software patents, and multiple pending. Dr. Ahlberg was named among the World s Top 100 Young Innovators by Technology Review, MIT s Magazine of Innovation in He is a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences

9 Edward G. Amoroso Senior Vice President and Chief Security Officer, AT&T Dr. Edward G. Amoroso currently serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Security Officer at AT&T, where his primary responsibilities lie in the real-time protection of AT&T s vast enterprise, network, and computing infrastructure, including its emerging LTE mobile network and cloud services. Ed s team is presently focused on creating innovative means for reducing the risk of Advanced Persistent Threat (APT), Distributed Denial of Service (DDOS), mobile malware, and cloud infrastructure attacks targeting AT&T and its customers. Ed s team works specifically in the area of advanced threat analytics, virtualization of cloud resident security protections, enterprise security policy and architecture, and advanced detection of malware. During his twenty-nine year career with AT&T, beginning at Bell Labs, Ed has focused exclusively on cyber security, working on projects ranging from Unix operating system security to critical infrastructure protection design. Ed is the author of dozens of technical papers and reports, as well as five published books on the topic of cyber security. For the past twenty-five years, he has also served as adjunct professor of computer science at the Stevens Institute of Technology, where he has introduced roughly 2,500 graduate students to the topic of computer security. Ed holds the BS degree in physics from Dickinson College, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from the Stevens Institute of Technology. Ed is also a graduate of the Columbia Business School. In 2000, Ed was awarded the AT&T Labs Technology Medal and was elected an AT&T Fellow in Ed s work has been featured in major news media such as the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, and CNN. He has recently completed, with his seventeen-year-old son Matthew, a high school textbook on computer science entitled From Gates to Apps (Silicon Press, 2013). Jason Baumgarten Partner, Spencer Stuart Seattle Jason Baumgarten is a member of the firm s CEO, Board and Technology Practices and has deep expertise working with growth and turnaround companies of all stages, from firms earning several million in revenue to multibillion-dollar global organizations. Jason has worked across segments of the technology industry, including IoT, SaaS, big data, cyber security, consumer Internet and e-commerce. In addition to his work for technology companies, Jason has helped dozens of companies across industries from healthcare-to-financial services embrace the opportunity and risks of an increasingly digital world. Having led hundreds of executive and board recruitments, Jason has worked with many of the most admired companies on earth. Previously, Jason was with McKinsey & Company, where he was an associate principal and a leader in the firm s technology, media and service operations practices. At McKinsey, Jason advised some of the world s largest technology and media companies on topics ranging from growth and innovation to organizational design. He also worked with many institutions facing disruptions from new channels and technologies, ranging from government agencies to large retailers. Earlier in his career, Jason was at Microsoft, where he worked in online product marketing. He launched his career in the media planning team at Ogilvy & Mather Advertising in New York. Jason holds a M.B.A. from Stanford University and a B.A. in economics from Vassar College. He is an active member of the Seattle nonprofit community, including serving on the Islandwood Board of Directors

10 Austin P. Berglas Senior Managing Director, Cyber Investigations and Incident Response, K2 Intelligence Austin P. Berglas is Senior Managing Director and head of the U.S. Cyber Investigations and Incident Response practice at K2 Intelligence. He brings deep investigative experience in counter intelligence, national security, criminal cyber investigations and incident response to K2 Intelligence. Before joining K2 Intelligence, Austin served as Assistant Special Agent in Charge (ASAC) of the Federal Bureau of Investigation s (FBI) Cyber Branch in the New York Office (NYO), where he oversaw all national security and criminal cyber investigations in the largest cyber branch in the FBI. Among the high profile, joint and international operations he managed were the dismantlement of the Blackshades organization and seizures of numerous TOR based sites including Silk Road and Silk Road 2.0. He also established the Financial Cyber Crimes Task Force, the FBI s first joint effort with the New York City Police Department (NYPD) and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) to combat cyber threats and high technology crimes affecting New York City and the nation. Prior to being named ASAC of the NYO s Cyber Branch, he was designated as an Assistant Inspector, Inspection Division, FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C. In May 2013, Austin was named Acting Special Agent in Charge (A/SAC) of the NYO s Special Operations/ Cyber Division, where he led over 400 employees in the largest technical and physical surveillance operation in the FBI, overseeing all investigations in the New York Cyber branch, an office he helped to create in As A/SAC, he was also responsible for the Special Events and Crisis Management Programs consisting of SWAT, Evidence Response, Underwater Search and Recovery, and Rapid Deployment. While at the FBI he has also served as supervisor of the New York Office Computer Crimes Squad/Cyber Crimes Coordinator, where he was responsible for the investigations into computer intrusions, intellectual property rights violations, and Internet fraud, extortion and gambling. In addition, he has served as the Crimes Against Children Coordinator in the FBI s NYO, responsible for the coordination and investigation of crimes including international and domestic kidnapping, sex tourism, and the sexual exploitation of children over the Internet. He has been rewarded for his work, receiving the FBI Director s Award for Excellence in a Cyber Investigation in 2010 and the Voice for All Children Award presented by the Coalition Against Child Abuse and Neglect in Prior to entering the FBI in 1999, Austin was a Captain in the United States Army serving in various roles as a light cavalry officer and deploying to Haiti in 1995 in support of Operation Uphold Democracy. He received his B.S. from Dickinson College and has participated in Navigating Strategic Change hosted at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Michael Chertoff Former Secretary of Homeland Security; Executive Chairman, The Chertoff Group As Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security from 2005 to 2009, Michael Chertoff led the country in blocking would-be terrorists from crossing our borders or implementing their plans if they were already in the country. He also transformed FEMA into an effective organization following Hurricane Katrina. His greatest successes have earned few headlines because the important news is what didn t happen. At The Chertoff Group, Mr. Chertoff provided high-level strategic counsel to corporate and government leaders on a broad range of security issues, from risk identification and prevention to preparedness, response and recovery. Risk management has become the CEO s concern, he says. We help our clients develop comprehensive strategies to manage risk without building barriers that get in the way of carrying on their business. Before heading up the Department of Homeland Security, Mr. Chertoff served as a federal judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Earlier, during more than a decade as a federal prosecutor, he investigated and prosecuted cases of political corruption, organized crime, corporate fraud and terrorism including the investigation of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Cilluffo is an Associate Vice President at The George Washington University where he leads a number of national security and cyber security policy and research initiatives. Cilluffo directs the Center for Cyber and Homeland Security, is co-director of GW s Cyber Center for National and Economic Security and along with the School of Business, launched the university s World Executive MBA in Cybersecurity program. Cilluffo is routinely called upon to advise senior officials in the Executive Branch, US Armed Services, and State and Local governments on an array of national and homeland security strategy and policy matters. 12 Joseph Demarest, Jr. Associate Executive Assistant Director, Criminal, Cyber, Response & Services Branch, Federal Bureau of Investigation As Associate Executive Assistant Director of FBI s Criminal, Cyber, Response, and Services Branch (CCRSB), Mr. Demarest supports the Bureau s growing and vital work in cyber and criminal investigations, international operations, critical incident response, and victim assistance. As chief operations officer for the Branch, Mr. Demarest provides technical advice and guidance across CCRSB components and establishes and nurtures relationships with federal, state, and local law enforcement and intelligence agencies. He also focuses on workforce development, training, and implementing standardized intelligence processes across the Branch. Prior to his role with CCRSB, Mr. Demarest served as Assistant Director of the Cyber Division, where he led the division through a dynamic transformation as part of FBI s Next Generation Cyber Initiative, helping position the Bureau to effectively identify, pursue, and defeat cyber adversaries targeting U.S. global interests. During his tenure, he also focused on the recruitment and retention of top cyber talent, enhanced the division s technical and leadership training, and realigned the division s budget to enhance its technology. He fostered and enhanced significant collaborative partnerships with government, academia, and industry both in the United States and abroad. Mr. Demarest began his career at the FBI in 1988 as a special agent assigned to the Anchorage Division, where he investigated white-collar crime, drugs, violent crime, and foreign counterintelligence cases. In 1990, he transferred to the New York Division and was assigned to a Colombian drug squad. He was later promoted to squad supervisor, and in 2000 was selected as the drug branch s acting assistant special agent in charge. After 9/11, Mr. Demarest served as a shift commander for the PENTTBOM investigation, leading a task force of more than 400 federal, state, and local investigators from more than 40 agencies. Mr. Demarest was promoted to unit chief at FBI Headquarters in 2002, where he served in the International Terrorism Operations Section (ITOS) within the Counterterrorism Division. In 2003, he served as section chief of ITOS until he was promoted to management positions in the International Terrorism Branch of the New York Division, ultimately becoming special agent in charge for counterterrorism. Mr. Demarest briefly left public service to work as a managing director for the Americas with Goldman Sachs in its Office of Global Security. In 2009, Mr. Demarest became the assistant director in charge of the FBI New York Division, where he oversaw several major investigations, including the terrorism investigation Operation Highrise, the Bernard Madoff case, and the piracy investigation of MV Maersk Alabama. 13 Daniel M. Gallagher, Jr. Commissioner, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Daniel M. Gallagher, Jr. was confirmed by the United States Senate as a Commissioner of the Securities and Exchange Commission on October 21, 2011 and sworn in on November 7, Commissioner Gallagher has had the honor and privilege of serving the agency in several capacities throughout his professional career. He first joined the Commission as a summer honors program intern while pursuing his law degree, focusing on enforcement matters. In January 2006, he rejoined the agency, serving first as counsel to SEC Commissioner Paul S. Atkins, and later as counsel to SEC Chairman Christopher Cox, working on matters involving the Division of Enforcement and the Division of Trading and Markets. In 2008, he joined the Division of Trading and Markets as Deputy Director and served as Co-Acting Director of the Division from April 2009 until January During this period, Commissioner Gallagher was on the front lines in the agency s response to the financial crisis. He retired as FBI Executive Assistant Director (EAD) in 2012, overseeing all FBI criminal and cyber investigations worldwide, as well as international operations and the FBI s critical incident response to major investigations and disasters. During his 24-year career, he held a wide range of operational and leadership roles in three FBI Field Offices and FBI Headquarters. Shawn was the Bureau s outspoken top agent on cybersecurity issues, credited with boosting the FBI s computer crime investigative capabilities. During his tenure, Shawn oversaw major computer crime and cyber investigations spanning the globe, from denial-of-service attacks, to major bank and corporate breaches, to nation-state sponsored intrusions. 16 John Riggi Section Chief, Cyber Outreach Section, Cyber Division, Federal Bureau of Investigation Mr. Riggi is a highly decorated 27 year veteran of the FBI, and currently serves as the Section Chief for the Cyber Division Outreach Section where he leads the development of mission critical partnerships with the private sector. Previously, Mr. Riggi served as an Assistant Special Agent in Charge for the Washington Field Office s, Intelligence Division. In 2013 Mr. Riggi was selected to lead the development of the FBI s Cyber Financial Pursuit Team. Previously, Mr. Riggi served for four years as the National Operations Manager for the FBI s Terrorist Financing Operations Section and two years as a senior FBI detailee to CIA s Counterterrorism Center (CTC). Prior, Mr. Riggi served sixteen years in the FBI New York Field Office as a Case Agent, Supervisor of the High Intensity Financial Crimes Area (HIFCA) Task Force and Supervisor of the Terrorist Financing Squad. In New York, he developed and led the FBI s first undercover operation targeting Russian Organized Crime, was the first to use sting money laundering transactions in terrorism financing cases and initiated the Alavi Foundation terrorism financing case which resulted in the largest counterterrorism seizure of assets in US history. Mr. Riggi also acted in an undercover capacity posing as an organized crime money launderer to penetrate and expose the multi-billion dollar commercial check cashing industry in New York City and its connection to organized crime money laundering and bank corruption. Vance, Jr., was first inaugurated as the District Attorney of New York County on January 1, Over the following four years, Mr. Vance enhanced the Manhattan District Attorney s Office as a national leader in criminal justice by expanding the offices expertise on an array of 21st century crimes, including identity theft, cybercrime, white-collar fraud, hate crimes, terrorism, domestic violence, human trafficking, and violent and gang-related crimes. Yacone was named Assistant Director for the Federal Bureau of Investigation on March 24, In this role, he oversees global critical incident response personnel and resources for crisis management, tactical operations, crisis negotiations, hostage rescue, WMD and improvised explosive device mitigation, intelligence, surveillance and aviation, behavioral and cyber threat assessments, active shooter response and special events management. Mr. Yacone joined the FBI in 1995 as a Special Agent. He was first assigned to the Philadelphia Division, where he investigated violent drug trafficking organizations, organized crime, and financial institution fraud. He was later selected to serve with the Critical Incident Response Group (CIRG) as a member of the Hostage Rescue Team. During his tenure there, Mr. Yacone was promoted to Supervisory Special Agent and later Unit Chief, where he deployed to multiple critical incidents and major investigations around the world in support of the global fight against terrorism. In 2006, Mr. Yacone was appointed Chief of the FBI s Aviation and Surveillance Branch. In this position he implemented a strategic aircraft replacement plan to upgrade and standardize the FBI s diverse fleet of airplanes and helicopters and focused on enhancing the FBI s ground surveillance cadre. Mr. Yacone was later selected by Director Mueller to lead a strategic merger to consolidate a large number of personnel and assets into a unified Surveillance and Aviation Section. Mr. Yacone served as the Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the FBI s Richmond Division National Security Branch from 2007 to In addition to the counterterrorism, counterintelligence and intelligence programs, he also implemented the FBI s new threat-based intelligence process for two FBI field divisions. He was appointed to the Senior Executive Service in 2009 as Chief and Commander of the Hostage Rescue Team in CIRG. This involved direct management and oversight of the FBI s national tactical program, SWAT, crisis negotiation program and a variety of helicopters, maritime assault craft and crisis response assets. In 2011 Mr. Yacone was selected to serve as the Special Agent in Charge (SAC) of the FBI in Colorado and Wyoming. Concurrent with his responsibilities as SAC, Mr. Yacone was appointed by the Director of National Intelligence to be the Domestic DNI Representative, which involved coordinating the efforts of the U.S. intelligence community for a nine-state region. A New York native, Mr. Yacone graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering and has a Master of Science in criminal justice from Virginia Commonwealth University. He served eight years in the U.S. Army and is a decorated combat veteran with the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment. His highest military awards include the Silver Star, Bronze Star, multiple Air Medals with Valor Device, the Humanitarian Service Award and the Purple Heart. He and his wife, Becky, have three children

Mr. Zarate is also a Senior Adviser at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), the Chairman and Senior Counselor for the Foundation for Defense of Democracies Center on Sanctions and Illicit Finance (CSIF), and a Senior Fellow to the West Point Counterterrorism Center. Mr. Zarate served as the Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy National Security Advisor for Combating Terrorism from 2005 to 2009, and was responsible for developing and implementing the U.S. Government s counterterrorism strategy and policies related to transnational security threats. Mr. Zarate was the first ever Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorist Financing and Financial Crimes where he led domestic and international efforts to attack terrorist financing, the innovative use of Treasury s national security-related powers, and the global hunt for Saddam Hussein s assets. Mr. Zarate is a former federal prosecutor who served on terrorism prosecution teams prior to 9/11, including the investigation of the USS Cole attack. Mr. Zarate has earned numerous awards for his work, including the Treasury Medal. Mr. Zarate sits on several boards, including the Vatican s Financial Information Authority (AIF), the Board of Advisors to the Director of the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC), HSBC s Financial System Vulnerabilities Committee, America Abroad Media (AAM) Board of Advisors, the RANE Network Board, Aspen Institute s Homeland Security Group, and the Coinbase Board of Advisors. He is a senior fellow and adviser to several organizations, including the George Washington University s Homeland Security Policy Institute, and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He is the author of Treasury s War: The Unleashing of a New Era of Financial Warfare (2013), Forging Democracy (1994), and a variety of articles in The New York Times, Financial Times, Washington Post, Wall St. Journal, LA Times, the Washington Quarterly and other publications.
