Mooney Associates, San Diego, California. 1991: Ethnographer: conducted a preliminary study of the impact of evangelical religious groups on the social structure of communities in the country of Belize : Ethnographer: observed and participated in a religious community resulting in a Ph.D. Dissertation titled The Structure of Anti-Structure: The Development and Organization of a Religious Community in a Small Western Town. 1983: Archeologist: surveyed prehistoric sites for the Gund Ranch Archeological Project, sponsored by the College of Agriculture, University of Nevada, Reno, and the State of Nevada Division of Historic Preservation and Archeology : Ethnographer: participated in a rural, Californian community, observing the inhabitants' reaction to the encroachment and political domination of a religious commune. This research resulted in a Master's Thesis titled The Impact of a Religious Movement on a Small Town. 1981: Research Assistant: aided in the development of a model and research design, and surveyed and excavated sites in the Comstock Lode area, Virginia City, Nevada, for the State of Nevada Division of Historic Preservation.
