My work was funded through a National Science Foundation grant that involved a joint research team from Kansas State University and the University of Kansas. The purpose of this research was to explore farmer s land-use decision making in Kansas, especially in relationship to biofuel crop production and perceptions of climate change. I also have a keen research interest in studying the way that agricultural and energy-based industries affect the development of rural communities. 3
