Spark has closed down its CDMA network and launched an in-house MVNO, Skinny, as also a commercial LTE service which covers most of the country. This competes with LTE offers from Vodafone and New Zealand's third mobile operator 2degrees, the latter having launched in mid Mobile market penetration, at around %, is growing steadily as operators provide add-on packs attracting increased usage at a lower cost.
