Accreditation of Prior Learning There is no charge for Accreditation of Prior Certificated Learning (APCL) The Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) will incur a charge equivalent to 50% of the tuition fee for the module claimed. 5. Writing-up fee Students who are finalising their research thesis away from the University are charged 210 per year whilst writing-up is being completed. 7. Fee discounts for advance payment A 3% discount is offered to all students paying an annual fee in excess of 4500 who are able to pay their fee in full in advance or at enrolment. The discount scheme will not apply to those who are on programmes for which a reduced fee is charged although students in receipt of a scholarship may still qualify for the discount if their proportion of the fee is over 4,500. Payment of tuition fees by instalments Details regarding arrangements for payment of fees by instalments can be found on the University web site at /13 Details of tuition fees for 2012/13 should be available early in the calendar year Notes 1. The continuation of a student s registration is dependent on the student having no outstanding financial obligations to the University. Although the University seeks to avoid major changes in fees where practicable, it must reserve the right to revise or add fees without notice. 2. All fees quoted are per year except where stated otherwise. There are usually no additional bench fees for undergraduate or postgraduate students. Exceptionally, where high cost materials or other resources are required in connection with a particular research project it may be necessary to seek a contribution towards departmental funds from the sponsoring body in addition to the standard tuition fee. 3. Students from other European Union countries who meet the residential requirements will be charged tuition fees at the same level as home students. Like UK students, European Union full-time undergraduate students studying at Bradford have two options with regard to the payment of their fees. They can pay the full amount themselves, or they can take out a non-means tested tuition fee loan from the UK government to cover the cost of the fees (provided they have not studied at University before).
