As the Council s Popcorn & Peanut Kernel, it is my goal, and the goal of the entire council team, to ensure that you have everything you need to succeed. Remember that the primary purpose of the Popcorn & Peanut sale is to raise the money your unit needs to support the great Scouting program your unit strives to deliver. Embracing the idea of program in an effort to fund one Scout program for one year, we encourage you to embrace this one simple concept: each boy fills one sheet. So our focus is making as many One Sheet Wonders as we possibly can. That s it. It is simple; but it is not easy. This guidebook is designed to give you the tools and ideas you need to empower every boy in your unit to fill up one sheet, thus making your fundraiser an overwhelming success. The Popcorn & Peanut sale also serves to support A Scout is Thrifty, a Scout earns his way. Unit commissions stay with the unit to fund your program. If done correctly, the Popcorn & Peanut sale will net you the largest percentage of the profits.
