2 THE CHAMPIONSHIP GUIDELINE SOUTH EAST ASIAN UNIVERSITY KARATE CHAMPIONSHIP SEBELAS MARET CUP X I. INTRODUCTION Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa Institut Karate-Do Indonesia Universitas Sebelas Maret (UKM INKAI UNS) is an extracurricular club for Sebelas Maret University students to develop their capabilities not only in organizational skills but also achievements, especially in Karate. UKM INKAI UNS intensively conducts organizational programs in the form of several useful activities for developing those skills and achievements. In order to commemorate the 41 st Sebelas Maret University Dies Natalis in 2017, we intend to hold South East Asian Karate University Championship SEBELAS MARET CUP X as the continuous event of South East Asian Karate Championship for University SEBELAS MARET CUP IX which had successfully been held in South East Asian Karate University Championship SEBELAS MARET CUP X is our biennial program which becomes PB FORKI fixed agenda and awards from MENRISTEK DIKTI trophy for the winner. Furthermore, the Karate Championship acts as the milestone of self development and also as the benchmark to assess the improvement of the Karate techniques in South East Asian, especially in universities. We expect that it will be a good moment to make the achievements of Karate athletes more remarkable. Therefore, we hope that the positive trends of the Karate athletes' achievements and their practical Karate proficiency will always increase.

Contingent Registration 1. Create an account with username and password; 2. Upload Warrant Letter; 3. Must bring contingent s national flag (for foreign contestant) B. Athlete Registration Registration requirements: 1. Fill out the registration form at sebelasmaretcup.uns.ac.id 2. Every athlete must upload the data of - Student identity card

5 - National ID card / KTP *for Indonesian contestants only - Passport *for Foreign contestants only - Receipt of latest University-study payment - Latest Karate certificate issued by Karate institution under WKF s authority - Formal photo with blue colour as the background and Karategi as the uniform 3. Every contingent must upload a data of mandatory letter from contingent s university 4. Every athlete must pay the registration fee via BRI Bank to Name : Anggun Diah Puspitasari Bank account number : In data verification process, every athlete must show the original data of: a. Student identity card b. National ID card / KTP *for Indonesian contestants only c. Passport * only for Foreign contestants d. Latest receipt of university-study payment e. Letter of able-bodied from a doctor f. Latest Karate certificate issued by Karate institution under the WKF s authority g. Letter of willingness to participate in this tournament *enclosed h. Proof of payment *receipt from transferring registration fee via bank i. Mandatory letter from university C. Coach / Official Registration Registration process can only be completed by means of ONLINE registration and then verifying the authentic data. Registration requirements: 1. Fill out the registration form at sebelasmaretcup.uns.ac.id 2. Every official must upload a data of - National ID card / KTP *for Indonesian contestants only - Passport *for Foreign contestants only - Formal photo with red colour as the background 3. In data verification process, every official must show the original data of - National ID card / KTP *for Indonesian contestants only

6 - Passport *for Foreign contestants only 4. In data verification process, every contingent must submit the contingent s University flag 5. All contingents except Indonesia must carry the contingent s national flag D. Contestants Requirements 1. Contestants are compulsorily students of Indonesian and South East Asian universities which the participants are from Karate institutions that are under the authority of WKF 2. Every contingent must bring valid mandatory letter which the university authorities sign and stamp it legally. 3. Every participant must only represent one contingent 4. Each of the tournament class can only be filled by 4 athletes per contingent. 5. Every participant joining Kumite class must bring tournament equipments *WKF standard equipments 6. The participants should be in the range of age as mentioned below: a years old for male and female Kata b years old for male and female Kumite 7. Every contingent must create letter of willingness to participate in this tournament *enclosed 8. If one of those data which the contestants upload is invalid, the committee is entitled to disqualify the contestant / athlete. 9. 7 IV. COMPETITION RULES & REGULATIONS 1. Competition Rule The competition rule is the WKF version 9.0 in 2015 competition rule 2. Competition System The competition system is knockout system 3. Drawing Drawing will be done by the championship committee. Any change of competition drawing will be notified by the committee to each contingent s team manager / coach. 4. Dress Code a) Opening and Closing Ceremonies dress code Every athlete and official must wear his contingent-identity uniform b) Competition dress code Wearing Karate institution badge for contestants is prohibited, except wearing national symbol or university badge. Nevertheless, wearing South East Asian Karate University Championship SebelasMaret Cup X logo on the right side of the chest is obligatory *the logo will be provided by the committee c) Coach / Official dress code Coach / official must wear a training suit, sport shoes, and ID card during the competition 5. Kata Bunkai Kata will be contested in the round competing for medal. 6. Body Weigh-in If the data of the body weight which a contestant uploads is invalid, that contestant will be disqualified. 7. Official / Coach a. Every contingent must send a maximum of two officials as representatives in the technical meeting b. Every official will receive official ID card c. Officials and participants will get appreciation diploma from committee. e. General Champion calculation is based on the order of medals. VI. RULES FOR JURY 1. Juries leading the game are National juries who are directly appointed by PB FORKI. 2. Two juries as representatives of every nation except Indonesia who can be included in the tournament, whereby the committee only provide hospitality during the tournament. VII. HEALTHCARE 1. The tournament medical team will be led by a doctor whom the committee has appointed 2. Based on the medical checkup, the doctor has the right to decide whether the Karate athlete can proceed the competition or not. 3. Medical healthcare only serve for contestants in the competition arena. 4. The committee does not provide any assurances or insurances for the athlete s health if there is any injury. 5. Other rules which have not been included yet in this proposal can be adjusted at any time; and the fixed rules in this proposal can also be adjusted depending on the situation. VIII. ACCOMODATION, TRANSPORTATION AND HOSPITALITY The committee does not provide accommodation, transportation and hospitality; but helps in giving any information related to them.

10 IX. PROTEST During the game, all sorts of objection towards the jury will be negated. A protester is obligatory to deposit Rp1,000,000 (one million rupiahs) X. DISQUALIFICATION Every contestant can be disqualified if any contestant does not obey the rules set by the committee and the result of the technical meeting; as well as if any contestant gives irrelevant information as mentioned below: 1. The age of a contestant does not fit with the age range requirements 2. The body weight does not fit with the body-weight class which a contestant joins 3. The uploaded data does not fit with the original data / giving fake information of the data. XI. PENALTY The committee has a right to scrutinize the winner s identity and disclaim the winner s title if there is any indiscipline; the winner s title will automatically be replaced by the lower-position contestant. XII. OTHERS If the South East AsianUniversity Karate Championship is delayed or cancelled due to pandemonium / mass rioting / demonstration / disaster, and so forth, the financial losses which have been spent by the contingents will be the responsibility of every contingent. XIII. CLOSING STATEMENT This championship guideline is made in such way to inform the readers especially the participants about how to participate South East AsianUniversity Karate Championship SEBELAS MARET CUP X properly. Other rules which have not been written yet in this championship guideline will be regulated later on.
