The age of goats shall be actual age as at day of judging. CAPRINE RETRO VIRUS: (a)exhibits must be from a herd which has complied with the requirements of a CRV control scheme approved by the DPI. ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT CAE CERTIFICATE DPI requires owners to have a permit to travel stock and a fully completed Way Bill must accompany the stock. 4 SPECIAL SHOW REGULATIONS & BY LAWS 1. The Show will be open to the public on Saturday 23 rd & Sunday 24 th April Judging: All classes, unless otherwise stated, will commence at 10.00am on Saturday 23 rd April 2016(Judging Day). 3. Spectators - All Official Gates. Trade Displays and Exhibitors - Back Gate only (Kennedy St Entrance) NO FREE PASSES ALLOCATED AT GATES. ALL NON-MEMBER COMPETITORS MUST PAY AT GATE. 4. Damage Through Exhibits: The society will not be responsible for any accident that may be caused through or by any exhibit, and it shall be a condition of entry that each exhibitor shall hold the Society blameless and indemnified against any legal proceedings arising from such accidents. 5. Accidents: The Society will not, under any circumstances, hold itself liable for any accident on the grounds or premises. 6. Damage to Exhibits: The Society will not, under any circumstances, hold itself responsible for any loss or damage to, or miss-delivery of exhibits. 7. Loss by Disease: The entry form will be taken as a guarantee that the animals specified therein are free from all diseases so far as it is known by the owner. In case of infectious diseases, being spread through or by an exhibit, the exhibitor will be held responsible. 8. Fire: Precautions will be taken to guard against fire and to protect the property at the exhibition, but exhibits will not be insured at the cost of the Society. 9. Exhibits entered in the wrong class by the exhibitor may be transferred to the proper class by the Stewards at the discretion of the Judge. 10. The Society may receive for exhibition only (not for competition) any exhibits not specified in the schedule, providing there be sufficient space. The Society reserves the right to refuse any entry without giving reasons for so doing. 11. Exhibitors, if called upon by the Committee, shall prove the correctness of their certificates of entry by statutory declaration or otherwise. 12. Responsibility for accuracy of pedigrees and of any other particulars required by prize schedule conditions rests solely with exhibitors. Incorrect particulars or omission of particulars required may render the competitor liable to forfeiture of prize money won, and to disqualification for such period as the Committee may deem fitting. 13. Should there be any reason to suspect that any exhibit is either dangerous or diseased, the Committee reserves the right of refusing admittance to or of removing same from the ground at the expense of the exhibitor. 14. All exhibits must be delivered to and from the grounds at the risk of the exhibitor. 15. All exhibits must be on the grounds at the time stated in the schedule, or if not stated, then not later than 9am on Judging Day. 16. Unless more than two entries are received in a Class, the Society reserves the right to reduce first prize by 30% and award a ribbon only for second. 17. The Judge may award certificates of merit to exhibits, vis., Highly Commended or Commended if warranted. 18. No entry will be received from any person disqualified by the Queensland Chamber of Agricultural Societies or any of the leading Race Clubs during the period of such 10 disqualification. Should any such entry be accidentally accepted, it shall, whenever

5 SPECIAL SHOW REGULATIONS & BY LAWS 19. No entries will be received except on the conditions that all disputes, objections, and protests shall be decided by the committee of the Society (or majority of those present) whose decision shall be final. 20. No protest will be considered unless lodged with the Secretary in writing before 6pm on the day of the competition, enclosing $20, which will be forfeited to the Society s funds should the protest be considered frivolous. Protests will only be received from competitors in Class questioned. 21. As soon as the Judges have made their award in any Class the prize exhibit shall be distinguished by different coloured ribbons or cards: Blue first, Red second, Yellow third, White special, Purple champion and Green reserve champion. 22. The age of all cattle shall be computed as from the first of April. In the event of any dispute age will be determined by the tooth test. Stud animals entered in Herd Books will be taken at actual age. 23. Any person being a nuisance or using insulting language or behaviour will be expelled from the grounds. 24. All exhibits must remain on the Show grounds until 3pm on the last day of the Show. No exhibit will be allowed to be removed without the sanction of the Secretary or Stewards. In cases of a breach of this rule, all prizes that have been awarded to the exhibitor may be forfeited unless satisfactory reason is given. 25. Prize money unclaimed and outstanding for 30 days, will be forfeited to the Society. 26. In case any dispute may arise as to the construction to be put upon any of the By-Laws and Regulations the same shall be determined by the Committee of the Society whose decision shall be final. 27. Auctioneers shall pay to the Society a commission not less than two and one half percent upon livestock sale effected on the Show Grounds, whether by auction or by private contract. 28. No responsibility to local exhibitors for exhibits not collected at Show. 29. Stewards shall remove exhibitors and other persons from the vicinity of the Judges while judging is in progress. 30. Judges are expected to attend at the Secretary's office on the Show grounds at the hour appointed and introduce themselves to the Secretary and to the Stewards of the Section. 31. Judges will receive Award Books from Stewards of the Section. 32. Judges as they arrive at their decisions will write their award with any remarks they may desire in the Award Book. 33. Judges shall disqualify any exhibitor who, in their opinion, does not comply with the regulations, and shall enter the reason in their book. 34. Judges may recommend for certificates or commend as they think fit, any exhibit of special merit not included in the Schedule of prizes, and need not award prizes in any class in which exhibits are considered, in their opinion of sufficient merit. 35. Judges will sign the Award Book, and deliver them to the Stewards of the Section. 36. The Grand Parade of livestock and Machinery will commence between 1 pm and 1-15 pm on 2nd day of Show. All participants in Grand Parade will be eligible to win a prize of $50, drawn at end of parade. Children 12yrs & 11
