2 Classic Safari Camp Sanctuary Stanley s Camp is the home of the unique elephant interaction activity in partnership with the Living with Elephants foundation. The camp is built on a 260,000 acre private concession in the renowned Okavango Delta and is centred around a large sitting and dining area which affords magnificent views over the floodplains. Watch as big game march past, perhaps even catch a glimpse of the rare wild dog. Page 2 of 8

3 Traditional Tents Each of the eight canvas tents at Sanctuary Stanley s Camp is individually designed but all have a classic and understated elegance that harks back to the explorers of the nineteenth century. Large wooden decks provide private areas for guests to relax in hammocks or enjoy pre-dinner cocktails. Page 3 of 8

4 Living With Elephants Interaction Activity Sanctuary Retreats and non- profit charity Living With Elephants invite you to explore Africa from an elephant s perspective. Meet and interact with Jabu, Thembi and Morula, a trio of semi-habituated orphaned elephants, while walking in their gigantic and silent footsteps though the African wilderness. This is a truly uplifting experience that leaves a lasting impression on all who share their time with the elephants. Page 4 of 8

5 Game Viewing The game viewing around camp is thrilling. Water crossings are part of the adventure and watching zebra standing belly-deep grazing is a sight to see! Because Sanctuary Stanley s Camp is set in a private concession, there is the opportunity to venture out after dark on night game drives to see the nocturnal animals that live here including bush baby, hyena and leopard. Guests can also explore the bush on foot with a walking safari. Page 5 of 8

6 Mokoro Excursions The Okavango Delta is of course flooded for much of the year and when it is, guests can experience the gentle pace of a poled mokoro excursion along the narrow Delta channels. Sit back and relax as you glide through lily ponds on local dugout canoes while seeing eye to eye with a buffalo as it laps water from the river, watching crocodiles sunbathe on the banks or cruising past a pod of hippos. 7 Sanctuary Stanley s Camp, Okavango Delta Location: Sanctuary Stanley s Camp is a tented camp located in a 260,000 acre private concession neighbouring the Moremi Game Reserve Access is by air from Maun (15 minutes), Kasane (1 hour 30 minutes) and all other Delta camps Transfer time is approximately 50 minutes from the camp s own registered private airstrip Guest rooms: Eight classic safari canvas tents on elevated platforms with private wooden decks Hairdryer, ceiling fan and mosquito nets available in all tents Dining: Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner included in your stay Breakfast is served before the morning game activity.
