9 On this window we can see an error symbol in the device that Windows 7 couldn t install. If we click on with the right button, a menu appears, then we choose properties and the next window appear: 9

13 On this window, choose the second option, find the driver on the PC. 13

14 Finally, select the folder where the USB driver is, the driver is in the USB folder of daumar40/44 folder, in this example : c:\program Files\DAUMAR44T5.62\USB Then the installation process ask you if you are agree to install this drivers. Click on Continue button. 14

2.3. Daumar40/44T configuration If the previous step was successfully completed, the first thing to do is determine the serial port number where the USB-RS485 converter is located.

Go to Start Control Panel System then click on the following tabs Hardware Device Manager. The following window appears and the section Ports (COM & LPT) selected, expand the tree and a port should appear called ADAM4561/4562 USB TO serial Comm Port (Com X), identifying the COM number that is to be subsequently entered into the DAUMAR40 communications. 17

18 Once the COM number is identified, the DAUMAR 40 should be opened and the COM number entered on the Communications window, which in this case is 3, then communications are enabled. 18

19 3. Jumper Selection The converter must be configured so that the transmitter is always switched on. This is accomplished by opening the converter and changing an internal jumper, it used to be done by the factory. The screws shown in the above photo should be loosened until the securing guide for the rear channel is released. There are two more screws behind the guide that also have to be loosened in order to open the converter. There are two types of converters that we identify by the figure : 1.-) Once open, the yellow jumper can be identified, see the figure: 19
