2 What is Hospitality? Hospitality [hos pi tal i ty] Hospitality is the relationship between guest and host, or the act or practice of being hospitable. Specifically, this includes the reception and entertainment of guests, visitors, or strangers, resorts, membership clubs, conventions, attractions, special events, and other services for travelers and tourists. But, what does that mean to us?? The responsibility and privilege to treat customers with respect and genuinely make them happy. It is also a way to show your enthusiasm and passion in what you do. ANTICIPATING guests needs and wants and EXCEEDING expectations Each and every time! 2
