6 What is the Articulation Agreement? The Articulation Agreement, signed October 2009, between Miami International University of Art & Design, Inc. (MIU) and Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) lists courses a student can take within the Miami-Dade County Public Schools system that are comparable with some of the college level courses at Miami International University of Art & Design. The courses are listed by subject area relevant to selected program degrees. They are bound by the following criteria for articulation. ARTICULATED COMPONENTS MIU agrees to extend college proficiency credit to graduates of the M-DCPS secondary schools ( M-DCPS Student ) who will be enrolled at MIU provided the M-DCPS student meets the requirements as more specifically set forth in this brochure and as provided for in the specific Articulation Agreement and MIU s policies and procedures. 5
7 PROVISIONS This Articulation Agreement and corresponding Memorandum of Understanding makes it possible for a student completing the M-DCPS secondary level program to receive advance standing credit in their specific degree at (MIU) providing the following conditions and MIU s policies and procedures are met: A.
