National Assessments Analyses of the legal situation of protected areas in each Alpine State, with a particular attention to transboundary issues, in order to acquire a better understanding and lay down the bases for the comparative analyses necessary to inscribe transboundary connectivity into law. a. Comparative Analyses On the basis of the National Assessments, the legal situation between each Alpine State couple is being analyzed, aiming at identifying which legal tools can be used for an effective implementation of transboundary connectivity, with particular attention to the EGTC. a.
