4 UEFA EURO 2016 GROUPS & SCHEDULE For the first time, UEFA EURO 2016 TM will be contested by 24 teams including England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland, who have never featured together in the same international tournament. There are also five debutants with Northern Ireland, Wales, Slovakia, Albania and Iceland all participating in their inaugural European Championship, while Hungary make their first appearance for over 40 years.
