From Circleville to Grandview Heights, from Hilliard to Hemlock, the Lancaster Campus and the Pickerington Center are easily accessed. Situated on over 100 scenic acres at the north edge of Lancaster, the Campus features historic bridges, the hiking and biking trail along Fetters Run, and a greenhouse. UNIVERSITY CERTIFICATES University certificates provide opportunities for focused study on a particular topic. Completion of a University certificate program is officially recognized on student transcripts. With careful selection of classes, students can complete the following programs at the Lancaster Campus. Women s and Gender Studies Certificate Diversity Certificate Environmental Studies CAMPUS CERTIFICATES The Lancaster Campus offers the following certificates in recognition of student completion of coursework that may be applicable in specific types of employment: Computer Networking Specialist Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Medical Office Receptionist Office Administration Skills Development Campus certificates are not officially recognized on student transcripts. But they often are useful as the credits apply to students on their way to an associate s degree.

6 Ohio University Lancaster I Pickerington IMAGINE TAKING THE NEXT STEPS TOWARD A SUCCESSFUL FUTURE ADMISSION INFORMATION The Ohio University Lancaster Campus and Pickerington Center has an open enrollment policy, which means qualified first-time college students are automatically accepted with a high school diploma or GED to our regional campus. 7 Ohio University and its regional campuses are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) a regional accrediting agency within the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA). STEP 1. Go to official high school transcript must be S T E P 2. An sent directly from the Guidance Counselor or a copy of GED scores must be submitted. If applicable, official transcripts from each college or university attended are required. Homeschooled students are accepted with proper completion documentation. If you are applying for freshman admission, S T E P 3. be certain your test scores have been sent to our office. ACT scores are not required if you have been out of high school for more than one year. ACT scores are required for some majors. incoming freshmen who have not taken S T E P 4. All the ACT or SAT within the last two years are required to take the Math, English, and Reading Placement Test. Although the results of this test do not affect a student s admissions status, they provide valuable information which helps advisors ensure that students are enrolled in the most appropriate classes. STEP 5. Prepare financial aid forms! Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at STEP 6. Go to and schedule an Orientation date. STEP 7. Meet with an academic advisor and register for classes. TRANSFER STUDENTS You are considered a transfer student if you have completed 12 quarter hours or 9 semester hours at another university after graduating high school. Transcripts from each college or university attended are required. Transfer students who have not completed math and English courses which will fulfill Ohio University s freshman math and English requirements or do not have the ACT or SAT in the last two years are also required to take the Placement Test. Transfer students who are unsure if they need to take the Placement Test should consult an academic advisor in the Student Services Office.

We provide helpful resources, accessibility services, and opportunities to help our students excel while a student at the Ohio University Lancaster Campus or Pickerington Center. Student Services staff members are available until early evening Monday through Thursday and on most Saturday mornings. ADVISING: Every student is assigned an academic advisor during the first semester based on his or her declared major. The role of the advisor is to assist students in selecting courses needed for degree completion. Academic advisors help you plan your schedule and stay on track. Undecided students are advised in the Student Services office. Students must meet with their advisor before every semester. CAREER SERVICES: Provides career advising, assessments, Bobcat online job search tools, and job fairs.
