It manufactures and supplies capital equipments & machineries and renders project execution required for core sector industries. It has complete manufacturing set up starting from casting & forging, fabrication, machining, assembly and testing - all at one location backed by a strong design - engineering and technology team. HEC is growing fast and to cater to increasing market demand of its products & services, we invite applications from dedicated and committed professionals with a high degree of initiative and intuitive forward thinking for the 3 (three) post of General Manager in its different area of its operations. Depending upon the requirement, the Corporation reserves the right to Cancel/Curtail/Increase the no. of vacancies without any further notice and without assigning any reason thereof. The other details are as under 1. Post : General Manager 2. No of Vacancies : 3 (Three) 3. Scale of Pay : Rs 43,200 66,000 (E7) 4. Basic Qualifications : BE / B Tech 5. Preferred Addl Qualifications a) Degree or Diploma in Business Management. b) Degree or Diploma in Production Management. c) Degree or Diploma in Materials Management. d) PG in Metallurgy, Foundry and/or Forging technology, 6. Minimum Post Qualification Experience. 20 years 7. Areas of Experience a) i) Should have headed a capital component manufacturing unit. Should have at least 5 years experience at a senior level of a large scale manufacturing unit in the heavy capital equipment manufacturing sector handling large size Casting, Forging, Melting & Foundry. ii) Should have adequate exposure in Production planning and Control, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and supply chain management in Foundry and Forging industry. iii) Must have strong management, communication, analytical and interpersonal skills b) i) Should have headed a large Machine Tool manufacturing unit. Should have at least 5 years experience as head of operations of a large scale Machine Tool manufacturing unit in the capital equipment sector. ii) Should have adequate exposure in Production planning and Control, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and supply chain management. 1

2 ii) Must have strong management, communication, analytical and interpersonal skills c) i) The Candidate should have experience in Quality Assurance, Control and Inspection Departments preferably in Engineering Sector, particularly, in the areas of documenting QA system, analysis, establishing acceptance criteria, sources of supplies, Quality Audit, ISO Certification, Vendor assessment and rating etc. ii) Should have the experience of Inspection and maintenance and improvement of product quality, system, compliance and investigating customer complaints. Coordination with production to develop new product, manufacturing and training methods in Engineering Industry. iii) Develop Quality assurance plans by identifying critical control points, preventive measures, monitoring procedures, corrective actions and verification procedure. iv) Should be able to prepare documents related to ISO implementation, Quality Assurance and Control within the organization. v) Must have strong management, communication, analytical and interpersonal d) i) The incumbent should have hands on experience preferably in Engineering Industry in Stores /Material Handling Department of a large concern. He should also be conversant with preparation of cost estimates, tender documents for all types of contracts, negotiation, award, post implementation liabilities, dispute resolution etc in the area of Material Management. ii) The individual should have good knowledge of guidelines on procurement procedures of raw materials and finished goods, e-procurement, contract management, long term material supply management and Transportation and logistics. iii) Must have strong management, communication, analytical and interpersonal e) i) Should have worked in an EPC Project execution organisation for at least 10 years. ii) Should have independently executed a minimum of two EPC projects of value of Rs 200 crores and above as a project director / project manager. Knowledge and experience of Project planning, monitoring and control of at least 5 years. (Desirable) iii) Experience of execution of turnkey projects in the mining, steel sector or power sector. iv) Must have strong management, communication, analytical and interpersonal 8. Maximum Age as on 01 January years Internal candidates who have completed at least 4 years in E6 scale of pay and have the requisite qualifications and experience as indicated above are also eligible to apply.
