2 Technical Data Page 2 Effective: March 2004 Metering Devices General Description The s thin display and flexible mounting capabilities make it perfectly suited for any application where an accurate, multi-function meter is desired, such as panelboard and switchboard mains and feeders, motor control centers, and both low voltage and high voltage metal-enclosed switchgear. One provides an alternative to an assortment of individually wired and mounted ammeters, voltmeters, ammeter and voltmeter switches, wattmeters, varmeters, power factor meters, frequency meters, watthour and demand meters. ANSI C12 Class 10 revenue metering accuracy makes the an ideal choice for circuits where precise energy measurements are required. The can be easily programmed from the faceplate with display and keypad which features a two-line reverse mode LCD display with LED backlight. Auto scrolling function allows hand-free viewing of all voltages and currents. All measurements can be viewed from the local display. The can also be configured and monitored using PowerPort, free software available on the Eaton Electrical Web site, or can be used with PowerNet, the full-featured power management system software (models IQ 320 and IQ 330 only). Features, Functions and Benefits Optional I/O The IQ 330 and IQ 330M models include two digital inputs and two outputs along with a single analog input. The digital inputs can be used to show the status of an external device on the meter display and via communications. Examples include breaker position, motor starter status, protective relay trip or any other device status. The analog input accepts a standard 4 to 20 ma input, is shown on the display from 0 to 100%, and is available through communications. The analog input can be used to read transformer temperature, motor speed or any analog process signal. The two digital outputs can be remotely controlled via communications or can be programmed in either of two different alarm modes. In one mode, the output will activate based upon the measured system voltage and can act as either an over- or undervoltage relay. The second mode will enable the output to alarm on a phase loss condition. Meter Sealing The IQ 330 and IQ 330M models have a hardware seal that prohibits the changing of settings or the resetting of values. Meter Mounting The base module can be display mounted, panel mounted, DIN-rail mounted or side-mounted. The display only requires 1.50 inches (38.1 mm) behind the panel it is mounted in, including display to base cable. Bright display with eight large numeric digits along with a 10- character description of the measured value makes the ideal for switchgear mounting. Base unit can be display mounted for simple, one-hole installation. Base unit can be mounted up to 10 feet (3 m) away from display and has three mounting options. Ratings Application to 200 kv, no PTs to 600 V. CT ratios selectable from 5 to 8,000 A. Three-phase, 3- or 4-wire. Control Power Input All +/- 10%. Model IQ 310: 50/60 Hz Model IQ 320: 50/60 Hz Models IQ 330 and IQ 330M: 50/60 Hz Display Settings Display automatically switches to power saving dim mode after 5 minutes of inactivity. Communications The IQ 320 and IQ 330 models have interface capability to computer network for data collection, storage and/or printout via the Cutler-Hammer PowerNet system. The IQ 330M model has an industry standard RS-485 multi-drop serial interface with the Modbus RTU communication protocol built-in. This interface can be used to connect the IQ 330M to a wide variety of Building Management Systems, Programmable Logic Controllers and other systems utilizing this communication network.
